@RemyGL1968 yea that's exactly what i was thinking, but i have made Whirlpools go the opposite direction in my bath tub. haha all you have to do is give them like a little kick-start. and in response to @MyDucatiGT1000 i could see what you mean. i think that that could be it, and if that's not the case, i think maybe the direction of the spin on one hole, effects the motion of the other hole, so they meshed together and spin in opposite directions as if they were gears on a clock. INTERESTING!

@zeropointt0099 thats actually a myth. It all depends on the shape of, for example, the sink or toilet that its draining from. Also if the tap is on the left of a sink the water will drain counter clockwise but if it is on the right of the sink the water will drain clockwise.
