The Old Testament is also a very violent book, but the fundamental difference is that people who read the Old Testament do not take them literally.

Unfortunately there are many, many violent passages in the Qu'ran and the problem is, is not that they are there, but that they are taken very literally. The Old Testament is also a very violent book, but the fundamental difference is that people who read the Old Testament do not take them literally.
