  • What Camera is that? Cheers

  • You stole my air!

  • WOW! I have never seen a skydiving canopy collapse like that. For a while now I have been telling canopy pilots to fly the heading, keep it going the same way it was going with weight shift and toggles, you would not lose 1/10th the altitude you did. We are not piloting canopies, we are flying kites. ;-P

  • I started jumping in 91, that exact thing happened to me and got me thinkig I was VERY lucky I wasnt 40 feet above the ground. many jumps later I shattered my right leg, it took a year, 8 screws and a metal plate to fully recover.

  • that's odd, that canopy seems to have a prob with its nose design. fishing twine for lines may help. hahaha I wouldn't jump it, but you seem to have had fun with it....blue skies.

  • @Qballfph it´s not odd, the canopy collapsed as a result of the turbulence caused by the idiot crossing the canopy´s path.

  • lol was that a student above ??

  • Nice recovery, 2 more seconds and I would have chopped it

  • what canopy is that

  • @Leowhitters It's a 97 Katana which still had spectra lines on it - a bit out of trim.

  • Haha, he probably thought you got scared and bailed!

  • @ryandsucks Pretty much! He thought I had left until he noticed half of my canopy was folded under, haha!

  • Wow! i could almost see the vortex from the upper jumper's body folding the canopy :D
