Sounds good man,keep it more acoustic like this.If the band is playing on this it should be melodic in the background like a rock ballad(late 80's-ish style) and you wrote it in a key that shows your voice more,thats a great first step. Oh throw some heavy guitar in it also especially in the chorus. I like it.
