@Rattfulldagenlang the glass of water represents our anixeties and our fear, basically in this song colplay mentions about how people are worrying about their past and the future and as a result they can't move on in addition instead of worry about the past we should focus more on the present... so in the ending when he says "What are we drinking when we're done? just glasses of water symbolizes some are still living in the past ( this is just my opinion of what i got from the song)
