Nothing pretentious,conceited, vain, vile or innapropriate about these guys' music,lyrics or pop videos-and everyone of all ages could enjoy them cause they had genuine down to earth appeal as well as

I've read once,in an interview of the leader (=>Leee John;interviewed as "Leee John" his name as a solo artist/singer...), and he was arguing himself that the 1980s were a strange period;he admited -laughing- that they ("They"=artists of the 1980s...) used to wear outrageous clothes and act outrageous...besides;now -as "Leee John" solo singer- he is completely different:virile,shaved head,urban style of clothing;and his new music is completely different

Man,if you really like that groove,there's sthg. else you gotta know : each of the three members were complete and polyvalent musicians: each of them could switch on various instruments(even Leee John; but on stage he had to be the lead singer... ) and you also got to discover their most underrated 1986 and 1987 albums(respectively : "Trilogy"-1986 and "Closer"_1987) these two ones are often omitted,but they are different from their early material and very good...otherwise there's the last one

That video is funny today but Imagination were huge back in the early 80s. They sold millions in Europe alone. The 3 guys and Tony Swain & Steve Jolly, the producers, writers and keys players definitely knew what they were doing. By all means unique music. And downright fat too.

No one really gives this group much credit. But visually they were just as good as seeing Boy George, or or any of the New Romantic Bands that were around within the early 80's within England, just by their visual stage act alone.Imagination held an audience.

Imagination came out with much better songs as well.Whenever,you hear song of there's, you instantly know who they are...But they never did (*Imagination) get the credit that they deserved. Lee John is a great singer.
