Some of the best video footage I have seen of the route to base camp. It is seriously awesome. Having been to the Mont Blanc region this summer i know these images will have been nothing compared to seeing it with your own eyes.

We used a company called "Makalu adventures". Excellent guide. About trek: The simple stuff matters... Get good shoes. Take additional comfortable shoes for the lodges after a day of trekking too. Take good torch/lights - headlight is essential. Take the hiking EASY. Plan plenty of rest days in order to acclimatize... Don't Rush!!! Discuss the possibility of using acetazolamide with knowledgable physician. Be physically fit before the trip. Invite some good friends along...
