your settings are WAAAY off I made a background using 1800 x 1000 and the image was off.. now I have to rush to make the corrections before any of my followers see the messed up background I have... geez.. I shoulda went with the other dude that said 1280×1024
Cathy, my only critique about this is the backgrounds on twitter snap to the LEFT, not the center. :) It may centre on your screen since you made it your screen size, but on others, it would be out of sync. It would be better not to put anything on the right and just keep information on the left. Just pointing it out. :D
1.) Why do use two help lines vertical 20px and vertical 180px?
I'm using only one vertical line at 150px. You'll get problems on a 17" (1024) with 180px, because you are out of range and that's a problem, because many netbooks use 1024-pixel-resolution.
2.) You put in your graphic on the right site at 1000px. What is, if a user is surfing with a resolution of 1980px? Then twitter content will overlay your graphic. :)
Vertical (px):
20,180,950,1000
Horizontal (px):

in my last post was a little bug:). I'm sorry.
safe Zone (17"):
Resolution: 1024px - 24px (scrollbar) = 1000px
1000px - 763px (twitter content) = 237px
237px : 2 = 118,5px
118px = safe zone

Hi,
this is a very nice tutorial, but two things:
1.) Why do use two help lines vertical 20px and vertical 180px?
I'm using only one vertical line at 150px. You'll get problems on a 17" (1024) with 180px, because you are out of range and that's a problem, because many netbooks use 1024-pixel-resolution.
2.) You put in your graphic on the right site at 1000px. What is, if a user is surfing with a resolution of 1980px? Then twitter content will overlay your graphic. :)
Cheers
