Thanks for the positive comments. As a surfer on the east coast, I will forever vividly remember this morning. Although the commentary is bizarre (i was flipping out!), I think it captures the excitement we all feel when you roll up to the beach and see the swell of the year coming through.
This is a great vid! I grew up in RI but live out of state now....whenever I tell people that during hurricane season I would regularly be surfing double-overhead sets, people have the balls to respond with the bullshit card!
Well, now I have this video to direct them to; so thank you for posting!
You guys are lucky. In southern california our big waves close out.I never get excited when its supposed to get big,it just closes out and goes to shit if its bigger than 6 foot. There are a couple of spots that can handle it but those places are full capacity and not even worth it.They claimed last winter was the best ever, sooo overhyped. It was shut down everywhere except swamis,Enjoy your uncrowded point break,I wish we had that,We have Rincon but youll surf with 70+ on a great swell. It sucks
Hey, good footage, ,,definitely a big day out there, youve got to have balls to go out. We got a swell , down here, in Florida, clean but not as big.. w . soakedweb. c o m
Hey dude, nice footage, but the commentary sucks. If you were a surfer with any skill, you would be out there in the water. The man you rip on for not "going" at least had the balls to paddle out, which is obviously more than you idiots on the beach had. Shoulder hopping shore break kooks...
uh....i didnt hear anyone rip on anyone for "not going" in this video, and how do you know if he paddled out or not. it seems that you are just a prick.
thanks for the vid, but terrible recording and commentary. Really easy for you to talk and talk about guys caught inside while you're sitting on a ledge.
your welcome. when and if you decide to re-watch the video, it may be helpful to point out the volume adjustment feature that has been included on this video player, as well as a volume knob on your speakers, that can be utilized to enhance your viewing pleasure. feel free to open up your itunes and play music to accompany this video.
I have to say, Brizzwizz you did say thanks for the video right? So just be cool and leave it at that. I live in Australia now but lived on the East Coast in Hatteras,NC for 3 years. I love to see these "Bill" videos. I think your commentary is what separates real surfers from douchebags.
You are a LOSER. I did not hear any "talk and talk " about guys caught inside here. You started some BS about nothing. Come on man. If you surf and who wanted video memories of that swell then be grateful.
looks like i spoke too soon. just finished watching your completed video, very well done! it was nice to see some footage from later in the morning, i only stuck around until around 7:30-8ish, i was too anxious to get in the water!
is that in like Narragansett or misquamiket

i do in fact know who they are, and it was more than a pleasure to see them surf the east coast.
Sho0t2Thri11 2 years ago
oh i wasn't directing it towards you. It was more of a general statement. Sorry it came off that way :P
Yeah I felt like "Finally, some pros are paying us respect...and a big wave rider at that."

Ugh. The set wave at :45 was the best and nobody dropped in. Looks like the wave jacks up fast and steep keeping all but the biggest balls off of it.
