  • Warner Music Group sucks its own corporate cock.

  • My Bloody Vallentine is best known for distortion and tremello? I thought they were best known for being extremely awesome in the way only an amazing dream could be.

  • I like it

  • You should really change the name of the video, it;s confusing.

  • This is one of those videos in which there's a significant quality improvement when "&fmt=18" is added to the end of the URL.

  • I love MBV, but this is a great song!!

  • Please marry me Belinda!

  • Kind of Like.

  • i am in love with bilinda butcher

  • enjoyed the tune

  • they look like the fucking Manson family. love it !

  • 何で斧もってのかあ~・

    マイブラだから許します!

  • @karziflora

I agree. It's unfortunate. But then again, it feels nice almost having a wonderful "secret." Would we all love them so much if they were huge rock stars?

  • U absolutely right...which is why i can't stand the main stream "musicians"!!

  • Nope.

  • nothing hotter than an indie chick with a meat cleaver

  • hey everyone I have all the MBV music vids uploaded check em out.

  • Hey! es cierto, tienes mucho material realmente bueno! Gracias!

  • So underrated, I love MBV.

  • ok the songs not come in alone by MBV so what song is it?

  • Hold on a sec, is that Kevin at 3:21?

  • why does it say irish-british band???

just because they were based in london

    is jimi hendrix an american-british??

  • They had two British members, Belinda and Debbie.

That makes them pretty much British / Irish.

  • yeah i guess so...the two girls joined the band when they moved over to london...but there more irish than british

like the hendrix experience was two english and 1 american! same thing really

  • Yeah, I think he is. Just like Slash.

  • I'd so give Bilinda one...

Infact, fuck that, i'd give her two!

Awesome band, if you can't dig them, then well fair enough, but you really are missing out.

  • fuck warner. thanks for fucking up a great video you jizz snorting leeches...

  • WHERE CAN I FIND THE PIC AT 0:51?!

  • Wow. Am I the only one out there that thinks Kevin used to look like a fucking angel back then? He was so gorgeous.

And to the person who put up this video, where did you find those pictures? There are virtually no pictures of them on Google, yahoo, photobucket, or anywhere else.

  • Oh, yes, I agree - Kevin was just beautiful!

  • mbv rocked coachella, people were just pissed cause they wanted to see the cure and blame the sound guy for it being to loud the cure were just as loud and no ones bitching about them

  • I respect your opinion. However...fuck you! They were Coachella...that's why they shut the other stages down.

  • So what is the song that replaced "Come in alone"? Cause honestly, i'm liking it!

  • I apologize that the music in this is no longer MY BLOODY VALENTINE. Warner Music Group made me replace it with something else. It use to be Come In Alone.

  • That's fucking stupid. Why are they getting rid of the video's and not replacing it with their own high quality uploads of the songs.

They shouldn't be getting so arsey about copyright issues, if they have no intention to put the music out themselves.

  • I agree. It's not just with MBV, but with all kinds of semi-obscure shoegazer clips...they removed anything that was good, and just left the crappy-audio live performances...THANKS COPYRIGHT HUMPERS!

I mean come on...if it was U2's newest album in its entirety, I could understand somehow, but this is fucking bullshit.

  • i so fucking agree especially some obscure band from the early 90's they are such twats, like they are going to miss something if they just let it in

  • The replacement track is named "Forever Changed" by Transientworld and was chosen simply because it fit the video length. The original track for my vid was Come In Alone.

  • One of my favorites of all time, they spawned hundreds of imitators for a reason!

  • Best band of the 90's. Kevin Shields summed up what was happening better than anyone else.

  • I loved this band the first time I heard them back in 1992. Such a unique sound that cannot be compared to anything else. Never knew anything about the band other than having their the loveless cd. Didn't even know what they looked like until watching this vid. Thanks for posting (with good info too). Well done.

  • beautifil, beautiful song from an excellent album by an excellent band that shares the name of an excellent slasher film

  • Wow, this shit is much better than the "big name" shoegazer bands.

  • MBV are perhaps the most well-known Shoegazing band...

  • dont forget jesus and marychain makin noise since 1984

  • The depth of the sound is awsome...

  • Best song on the album - not the most sonically assaulting or the most repetitive but just the best. Absolutely amazing.

  • saw them open for dinosaur jr back in 91 (or around then). loundest show i've ever heard. it was so lound that people were leaving. but it was in a small warehouse type of club, so it would take much for the music to bounce off the stone walls.

  • me too...I saw them perform in Detroit around 91/92 and people were leaving en masse...good show though

  • you can you really blame them? its a sonic assult.

  • Can't make that excuse for them. They just loved to play LOUD.

  • Brilliant L.A Gig, their last song " You made me Realize " was a 20 Minute Feedback Session that will make you Deaf for life. More FEEDBACK MBV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Saw them play San Francisco last night--Oh my fucking god they are good! Sooooo good....

  • Just saw them live!!!!!!!!!!! A BLAST OF F*CKIN SOUND!! MAGIC!!!!!!!!!! I am finally deaf!!!!! YES!!!! They definitely stayed indie FOREVA!!!! QUITE impressed as u could probably "see"....going to sleeeep now!!!!!!

  • ha ha, i know how you feel, saw them few month back in glasgow, ended up out my head on mdma playing the air drums all night, then had my head completely removed by the final onslaught of total noise oblivion at the end. unbeatable.

  • actually i think her ears stick out a bit...

never mind. we are priviliged to have angels amongst us - who else could produce perfection like this.

  • the best album ever. the most influential. the most mysterious beautiful guitar playing. the hottest girl ever.

  • Awesome (again)

  • Psichedelia di altissimo livello!!!!

  • Sublime

  • watch?v=jYy5v7bG2PQ

  • and Bilinda Butcher was and still is the beautiest girl in the music world. cause she is more beuayful sexy and cool than maryha carey and the pussycat dolls they 6 all together , and more than the others slutqueens proposed by the record companies while seeking to buy publics.

come on Bilinda, make me ecstasy,i love you

  • yeah its wierd, like i find her pretty attractive actually. i think its her personality. :]

  • no, dude, it makes total sense. Loveless is essentially the album i would listen to in a session of passionate sex. But like the loving, tender kind, not the dirty cheap type. Blinda Butcher's soothing beautiful voice is a voice i would love to have whispered in my ear.

  • And Kevin's vocals are so subtle it wouldn't be weird hearing a guy while it was going on

  • Queens Of The Stone Age is good for the cheap kind. especially Songs For The Deaf

    :-)

  • Thank you Borak!

  • You're both so right, she's a goddess !

  • one of the best hard-tones song EVER.

    is a legend

  • I personally know bands so devoted to MBV,they expend all their energy trying to copy these distortion techniques! That's love!

  • I've never heard any band sound like them. I hear the MBV influence in such stuff as Drop Nineteens where it gets close. BTW does anyone know when the new album is out? Or is it going to be a long wait?

  • I don't believe there's been an announcement so far. I love Drop Nineteens, by the way!

  • this is one of my favorites by them!!! :)

  • The Loveless album by MBV is a priceless artwork. But there are some people who could not digest this album because they have bad taste in music.

  • It is a really nice album yeah, but taste is only relative (although I personaly agree with that statement)

  • ..johnleo I have to agree with you. I think loveless is the best piece of music I have ever heard by far!

  • They couldn't digest it because they only listened to half of Loveless once - it wasn't what they were expecting and they didn't quite know what to think. If these kind of people listened to Loveless 5 times MBV would have a much bigger following.

  • The consummate MBV soundalike is the Fleeting Joys doing "the Break-Up".Other bands that have imitated them are Wow&Flutter,Loveliescrushing, and All Natural Lemon & Lime Flavors.

  • whats the name of this song? unfortunatley their from before i was around so i didnt get the chance to get my hands on their records

  • YES OMFG! YES!

  • How is this name called?

    Really good one!

    Love my bloody valentine!!!

  • shoegazer is one of the best genre's of all-time, I am forever a shoegazer XD

  • This song brings back a memory when I purchased the loveless album back in 1991. MBV will be awesome in chicago 2008!

  • Any of the reunion shows is a must go. I've already seen the Valentines twice these days : in London (the second gig at rhe Roundhouse) and in Paris last wednesday. Both were awesome. Believe me, they're setting the clocks straight. More than ever, I'm growing MBV addicted !

  • It must be unbeleivable to see them live in England and Paris. I totally regret not seeing them in Chicago 1991 on Valentines day, but at last I will.

  • I think Loveless has some great tracks but me haha I would've included Swallow, Honey Power and Moon Song, and trimmed-down some of the jammy filler at the end of the last track on side 1

I *love* MBV please don't kill me other Valentine fans, hahaha

  • DO NOT! worry my friend we wont kill you.

But! Only if you agree that Sometimes it the mos gorgeous song of all time.

  • ...original choice...yeah, that and To Here Knows When...one critic said something like, it's like rain from a pastel cloud

  • I can't tell if thats sarcasm or not, but thanks anyways!

And who might this critic be?

  • ...ohman, I don't remember...I think I read that in Alternative Press...it was totally meant as a compliment, tho'

I love the strumming acoustic guitars in "Sometimes"...Bethany Curve get a similar gorgeous effect in "Summer Left Me" (their finest moment, I think)

...am I the only one who loves "Moon Song" so much...?!

  • I adore honey power, that's one of the most incredible songs I ever heard, those three additional songs would've made loveless even more perfect, even tho it is still one of the most perfect modern music recordings that I heard

  • yeah I agree

I made my own mix which includes swallow, honey power & moon song

    ...and I mean mix-TAPE - hah - I don't have a cd-burner yet

I just wish I could find the early EARLY MBV recordingz..."Sunny Sundae Smile", "Lovelee Sweet Darlene", that stuff

So, do you like Giant Drag..."Cordial Invitation" is a lovely MBV-style creation

I've read that long-lost band Natural Lemon & Lime Flavors had a very Valentine sound too but as yet I have never heard them

  • actually I have those early MBV records on my PC :), and they sound different but are still great, and I didn't heard of the bands you mentioned

  • Cool, I gotta get them sometime. So do you like Isn't Anything as much as Loveless...I love a lot of the songs on it but of course it's quite a bit rougher around the edges. Yeah check out Giant Drag, they're great. "Cordial Invitation" is really the only track on their debut Hearts & Unicorns which sounds like Valentine but I love the other stuff too (but that song is my fav.)

Do you like Bethany Curve...check out "Summer Left Me", brilliant track

  • thanks for the recommended songs, I'll check them out. Well at first I didn't liked all the songs on isn't anything, but now I consider it almost equally vital for alternative rock music as loveless is, tho it is not that psychedelic and dreamy as loveless is, it is still better than anything by sonic youth, pixies, cocteau twins, even tho I like all those bands, but I think you made me realize EP is equally to those two albums thus my favorite MBV song come from there: cigarettes in your bed

  • I've never heard cigarettes in your bed

I don't have the you made me realize EP

I'm not online @ home to download stuff so I guess I gotta have a local recordshop try to order some early Valentine stuff

You might possibly like Auburn Lull also, check out "Stockard Drive"

"Vanish", "Brighter Still", "Pool & the Shine" and "Sleep" by Bethany Curve

  • well that's good that you still support artists by buying their records, btw, cigarettes in your bed has a very nice fan made video on youtube, so you can start from there to listen to it at first time

  • all natural lemon and lime flavors have a couple of songs off their debut album that sound reminiscent of mbv, but most of it sounds like rush to me.

  • to see the higher res version, type in &fmt=18 at the end of the URL

  • Great collage of pictures! Can't get enough of Belinda - that face, that voice! The band is just 'perfect' IMO. It only happens every 10 years. The Beatles, to ABBA, B-52's, to My Bloody Valentine. They're just physically and musically 'perfect'. And can they pull the hat trick almost 20 years later? We shall see.

As long as I can see and hear Belinda over Kevins great songs - I'm sold!

  • i hear coldplay have a track on their new album yes/chinese/sleep chant that sounds like mbv after hearing it bought loveless its diffrent what other albums are out and do they 'grow' on you im finding loveless hard work but ive just listened once

  • An excellent choice! Best thing to do is listen to the whole album undisturbed, with the volume turned up.

  • That's exactly what I've done today.

  • going to see them in London next friday. woohoo!

  • Can't wait until the Concourse show in SF!

  • YEAH! Bought those Concourse tickets and the tickets down in So. Cali!! After 16+ years, I can't wait!!!

  • I seriously can't wait to see them in Chicago. Fuck, September's too far away.

  • PS: Pictures of Belinda Butcher always make me smile.

  • Thanks for posting this -- great memories...

I'm sure many will agree: loveless isn't one of the greatest rock albums of all time, it's THE greatest rock album of all time.

Get it on vinyl if you can! CD or MP3 formats just don't do it justice.

  • It's mere bollocks. They're all coming together, Kevin, Bilinda, Debbie and Colm, just like they used to back in the good ole times.

  • thank the skies

  • MBV is my life

  • they're playing the roundhouse in camden, june 23rd. it's gonna be awesome.

  • bilinda is damn hot

  • yeah i also they come to chicago!!

  • I hope I can see them in Chicago! Would be a dream come true.

  • I just picked up my tix for what looks like the last leg of the US tour. Santa Monica, Oct 2.

  • I totally missed them in chicago back in the 1990s on valentines day. BUT I will be seeing them in september 2008 in chicago :).....FINALLY

  • There were about three bands in the 1990s who created music that will truly endure. My Bloody Valentine are one of them. If they hit the SF Bay Area, I will be there. If not, there's always Loveless, Isn't Anything, and the 1988-1992 EPs.

  • I'm seeing them in Chicago in September.

  • it's about time!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I just pre-ordered their long awaited box set from hmv japan yesterday! Can't wait!

  • Wow! It actually comes with the lyrics?!

  • WOW! thanks for taking the time to put this together. Beautiful.

  • stunning ...allways..

  • wow, thanks for putting this up. so happy that the world's most awesome band is recording and touring again. are they coming to NYC?

  • a bunch of dublin smackheads taking drugs to make exallent music to take heavy drugs to....exceptional irish band n will totaly strike out in loyalty if anyone has summate against em or bad to say about em.....happy to hear about the reunion people keep up the deepening expresive style of your work,my friends

  • swervedriver at coachella 2008 (sunday). sorry no mbv

  • Loveless cost over 250,000 pounds and nearly bankrupt the record company. But it's a perfect record and about 20 years ahead of its time. Quality stands the test of time. It would be interesting how many units they move a week.

  • can't wait to see them in june in london last time was 1992 rollercoaster tour they blew the other bands on that package tour 'AWAY'..dinosaur jr,blur, jesus and the mary chain'..aww.. happy days

  • si, si, si por fin !!!!!

  • my favorite band in the world!

  • !El regreso del año! saludos desde Perú.

  • I can not WAIT until the new album. I can't believe it's actually happening for real this time. Such joy.

Has there been a confirmed date for the new record??

  • OMFG I still can't believe I've got a ticket for Roundhouse on 21st(if i'm happy now what will I be like on the night?)

  • if only I could manage iconography and mystique the way this band did............true masters........

  • Holy smoke! First the mighty Swerve then MBV! Life just gets better. Thankyou for this.

  • Nice video, coolest band in the f*cking world. Can't wait till June!

  • yes, the world will be a better place.....

  • Better, and louder.

  • my bloody valentine

    fucking best band ever

  • They're playing at Roskilde and I got my ticket already!

  • I'll believe it when I see it. They've been talking about another album for nearly 18 years now.

BTW, Bilinda Butcher is so beautiful. I wonder if she still looks good.

  • It's strange to see how are they keeping such a low profile this year before the album gets released. The only one we've seen yet is Kevin Shields (since the reunion).

  • careful with that axe...

  • eugene meriman!

  • One of the greatest bands since the Pixies!

  • Say "Nevermind" all you want. Bottom Line; 'Loveless' and PM's 'Deep' set the tone for everything that came pre-lolapalooza. I miss that time before everything underground came up for air and killed everything in the process.

  • Well said. For me, this included Swervedriver, but yeah i miss that time too.

  • de puta madre,a ver como estan ahora, que tal potencia y musculo en las guitarras...

  • Why do I feel so distant from those who don,t hear this as one of the most beautiful tracks ever?

  • Great to see they are returning. Wonder if they'll look as good as in this video.

Comparing them to the Chain is just lazy. These two totally different, yet superb, bands can't be shoved into the same pigeonhole as some of the previous comments have suggested. If you had seen them live at Moles Club, Bath, or at Rollercoaster 1992 then you would have realised this. By the way, if anyone was at either of those gigs and found a burst ear drum on the floor, can you let me know? Cheers.

  • I love My Bloody Valentine, its so great.

  • so are they playing coachella or not?

  • They will, in August. Check this on their website.

  • I just checked...

    it doesn't say anything

  • Oops, sorry I've read it in a article (but I don't remember which one)

  • ... come to Australia ya bastids ...

  • "soons of the jesus and mary chain".....jajajaja, it is true!!!

  • The Jesus & Mary Chain formed in 1984...

My Bloody Valentine formed in 1984...

    Nuff' Said...

  • So what you're saying is that My Bloody Valentine formed and all of the members stopped listening to music? Why was it that Debbie Googe said that the one thing that all the members of My Bloody Valentine had in common was that they all loved the JAMC?

  • They had some influence, but saying they're "sons of the JAMC" is pretty way out... (At one time Kevin said he loved Suzanne Vega's voice... so...).

  • I agree, not least because half the band are women. I certainly don't think that My Bloody Valentine were imitators, far from it. But like all bands they had very definite influences.

  • I agree, not least because half the band are women. I certainly don't think that My Bloody Valentine were imitators, far from it. But like all bands they had very definite influences.

  • soons of the jesus and mary chain

  • Jesus and Mary Chain created an influential sound and a masterwork.

My Bloody Valentine created an attitude, has one of the most influential and original style, an unreplicable sound, an all time masterwork without a genre

  • ohh crap

    everywheres sold out already

    anyone with spare for manchester?

  • When asked in 1997, when the band would be releasing new material Kevin Shields' response was:

'Definitely sometime this year or I'm dead...'

So I won't hold my breath about over supposed releases next year.

  • Tickets are going on sale, ho! D:

  • I'm talking about new releases, not gigs.

  • He said the album would be out late this year. Now, he could be talking about the album being finished... NOT RELEASED...

  • I'm sorry, I don't quite understand the difference between putting out an album and releasing an album. Perhaps you could explain it to me.

  • I can't believe I'm just hearing MBV. This is all I've been waiting for!!

  • i pray for this not to be a pun

  • Nope... Check Wikipedia or their oficial page... Is all there...
