this is my favorite movement,it's so evil-like and at the same time there's a sweetness in it.

listen carefully to the cellos and bass,the essence is not heavenly like bach,
this movement has a darker essence
I do understand what you mean, to me it is richness more than darkness, but I'm not a musician, so no doubt you're correct.
you are correct also,it is rich,this is pure music,you can't get any richer music than this,i hear the fullness and sweetness as well,but this movement is not so much as the 1st and much less the 2nd,this one leans to my ear more to the"dark side"

So glad you enjoyed it. My husband knew Francescatti and admired him tremendously as a gifted and modest musician. I love this one too.
