I appreciate your efforts on playing the song (including seeking to imitate Ian from the studio version - especially that "hmm" at the every end)...keep up the good work!
agreed! I actually was doing something else and was totally surprised when it didn't move onto the next song :P
incredible effort and sounds almost totally like the record :) a few very minor points where he sounds different, and those little bits where the drum parts would come in. but otherwise, just like the record
This is fantastic, you're a really talented singer and guitarist, sounds a lot like ian anderson is actually singing it in places. I'd be honoured if you'd check out my piano cover of their song 'Life is a long song' and tell me what you think, thanks!
Another great job Marcelotull. You picked good parts to sing from the song. This is why you tube has this feature. For people with great talent and not some wanna be's. Its definately the best cover out there. I would say as good as Ian's but I've seen Tull 4 times I can remember.
wow dude fantastic job, very impressive and nice to listen to. it's a little too fast & just a bit too much treble. The voice is really good to,though you may want to try and pronounciate the words more. but i'll tell you this, yours is definately the best cover i've ever heard of that song. kudo's to you.
My dad is a big Tull fan and said he was jealous when he heard you play haha. Im only 26 and I can still appreciate JethroTull's music so I think you did a very good job.
Thanks. Do you know the user discoverguitar online he shows how can you play the right hands, check it there ok. After I show may version on the right hand. bye
Before you sell your guitar look the user DiscoverGuitaronline he teaches how can you play the introdution of Thick as brick it is the first step. Thanks for you words and to subscribe me.
Thanks for your exellent whole version of Thick as a brick. Please, can you tell me where didi you get the entire tabs? I only play the first one, but Id like to play the entire as you. I ve learned a lot watching your videos.
Beautiful job. I've always wanted to learn the whole Thick as a Brick intro, and now I know it (but still need to practice to get the flow down) thanks to you video.
I like that parts of "Thick as a brick" that comes from the middle of the album. Never heard anyone playing them. Also I must say you look like you've spend many hours to sound like Anderson ;-)
NOSSA!! Parabens, velho!!! Muito bom.. O trabalho do violão e da voz estão ótimos!
Você vai a alguma show do Tull nesse ano, aqui no Brasil?
Wow, I thought that was really good! Is that an Ovation? I have an old ballader that I love to play. But just wanted to compliment you on an awesome job. Very entertaining.
I really enjoyed that. You managed to work in most of the obscure parts that only us real "Thick" fans know - as in, the B-side of the LP. Very nice and I'm sure that took time to learn. Bravo.
All right, you said right, I play e sing with passion. I don`t have sofisticated instrument to play. I use a little amp with microphone too on the same amp, and I recorded with a simple digital camera. Thank you for your words.
I've been a Tull fan since 1973 and you've done an excellent job on TAAB! I also have a guitar similar to yours. I have an Ovation CS257 and an Adamas 12 string W598. I wish I could make mine sound as good as yours. Your playing is as excellent as your voice. Good job!!
Oh thanks for your words, my guitar is a Ovation Celebrety CS247 deep bowl made in Korea. I like it so much but yours must be better than mine, because your one is made in USA. isn't it?
Do you happen to have a tab or anything for this song...I always have trouble figuring out how to play the part that comes during and after "spin be back down the years and the days of my youth"
That is incredible. Shut my eyes and it sounds like Anderson himself. And you say you're Brazillian? Well your 'ear' is incredible...you pic up every nuance in Anderson's British accent. I'm stunned.
Thank you man, I play and sing this song with this ability because I have trained very very hard. I have played it since 1983. Thank you for your words.
Hello. I'm brazilian too, but now I'm living in USA. I'm gonna start to post some tull's videos like yours. I have two videos but those are jokes. I'm gonna put some serious stuff. And I also play flute. When I get back home...we could jam a few times. I played a lot by my university time in Minas Gerais, and I also played here in a restaurant. But besides everything I've said YOU ARE A VERY GOOD ONSTAGE PERFOMER AND MUSICIAN GUY. Thanks . ALLAN
i wish i had the patience to learn all the great parts you know..all the best stuff from the album..it must be tough singing in another language as well...great work..
Very nice. You have taken some of my favorite elements of the song and compiled them into a very nice jam. I once had a guitar like yours as well...Ovation 1984 Collectors Model. Loved it. Played it for 10 years. LC
