U can't be immune while staffing, so a good counter is a dreadlord with a staff: staff to base, wait for the paladin to staff, and sleep the paladin. he will need to burn a TP every harrass, so his harrass has to be really, really effective to gain a benefit. At tier 2 get banshees with anti magic shell and leave 2 banshees in the base to shell the acolytes (and ghouls). If you play agressively enough, this will stop the offensive paladin.

Tauren are useless until very late game. they have a dedicated building and are very expensive. hardly ever worth the time.

I always like your videos! I also find the alt-use good. However I think it might be a mistake making the small "link-screen" at part 3 the end screen (since it shows the winner). Before I started watching this 3-part game, I sneeked a peak at part 3 which meant I knew the winner. Maybe the uploader can't choose the "link-picture"? Great job though.

I never thought of that. I think I can change the picture -- I'll try to remember to do that in the future. Unfortunately, it doesn't tell me ahead of time what the link image is going to be, so I have to go back and check. I'll try to do that in the future, cause it does suck to have the games spoiled. (For this one it probably doesn't matter since I revealed the winner at the beginning :P)

Okay, I checked. It does let you change the picture, but it only gives you three options. And for this video, the three options are ALL of the end screen. Grrrrrrrr.

For the record, HongKongKanto was referring to the AM's aura in his post, not the Pally's aura.

Pally aura is usually only gotten against orc when the game is gryphs versus bats. Pally aura + inner fire + 3x armor upgrade means the orc uses so many bats per gryphon that he actually loses money.

The aura for paladin is not really good to be honest. But yeah I think Thoo did a very good strategy. However if you are gonna tech make sure you have some extra acolytes. Just put them behind the mine or something. And of course make sure you upgrade your ziggurats to spirit towers. They can at least do some dmg to the paladin if he does not do divine. I also find that if you are an undead player fighting human knowing hes going paladin, make sure to get a non-lightable hero from the tavern.

watch part 1, Ted didn't scout TH000, so he didn't know he was gonna get paladin. wasting money on extra acc and towers is pointless, if he didn't get paladin. non-lightable heroes means the death knight cant coil it.

Acolytes aren't that expensive so he should have gotten some as extra once he realized the paladin. And I still believe that more towers would have helped blocked off the acolytes in the sense that he can afford to lose the ziggurats.

Like I said he could have summoned more acolytes AFTER he knew there was a paladin. I just think that Ted did not do a good job countering the paladin and preparing his base for it. Even if he did not scout it early he could have prepared his base once he scouted it.
