Yun is really bad against Zangief, I main Zangief and I have little trouble with yun (lk lariat all day) and l.SPD punishes most of his shit. doesn;t stop him being OP as fuck though.

I think that the big thing for Honda to do in this match-up that we didn't see from Mike Ross is to not show Yun any respect. Throw out some attacks and don't let his momentum build.

Yeah, in a lot of ways I prefered vanilla Super SF4. That game was actually pretty balanced. In AE there are a few characters that are FARRRRRRRRR better than all the others. Yun is definitely one of them...

Same could be said for SSF4. In SSF4, three charge characters were S-Tier (Guile, Honda, and Dictator). Some of the lower tier characters like Guy, Cody, Hakan, etc... have literally no chance against the S-Tiers of SSF4 (Guile, Honda, Dictator).

In SSF4-AE, the lowest tier characters have a much easier time beating the top-tiers than was the case back in SSF4.

Yun does have several bad match-ups in SSF4-AE. Many pros have proclaimed that Viper, Seth, Zangief, Hawk, and Ryu are all bad match ups for Yun. The top pros of SSF4-AE have been saying that those characters are bad match ups for Yun. Though the thing is that a match-ups based tiers chart for AE is not yet available.

those arent bad matches. viper vs yun is totally in his favor. seth, gief and hawk is 50/50 at worst. ryu loses in the long run vs yun.

if yuns broken how did poongko take first? yun is just good. vanilla ryu wasnt even broken either and ppl wanted him nerf to hell. while ryu was meant to have a strong zoning game but if he gets knocked down shoryus can be baited easily. if they nerf yun all they need to do is just nerf his mp dmg a little bit and maybe make ex lunge punch to 0 frames on block. just wait til SF 3SO come out yun is even better in that GOOD luck if your crying about him in ssf4 ae. oh yeah chun too =)

Yun ain't broken he just has an incredible mind game and speed. What makes yun look broken are people like daigo who are godly in sf with any character. so don't hate the game hate the player.

Not to mention a command grab, and one of the easiest to combo Ultras. Never mind anything I missed...

@Hit173 Just as an example EX lunge punch is +1 frames on block, That mean with Yun you can use this move and even if it is blocked the player that blocked is still at a disadvantage. This move can safely be thrown out from anywhere and barring a predicition hard to punish ....If thats not broken i don't know what is.

@Quasarcool Trust me, if you are playing with your brain on - Yun wants to be next to you for pressure/frame trap/mix up/etc, if he is not next to you, his gameplan is "Get next to my opponent", if you know this, and you know he has meter, then you know that the EX lunge is likely coming, so if you're ready for it, you can react and punish it. Not saying you'll get it every single time, but, it's not like it's always a get in free card for Yun.

@andysensei only problem is that the yun player has to be a complete idiot to let you react to his EX lunge... any good SF4player can set up a situation where you have to block it, and then you're -1 and the game is over if the yunplayer is any good. yun is not unbeatable, you just have to be a lot better than your opponent, which to me sounds unfair.

There will never be a game without a best character. In order to create variety in the characters, there will be differences that make some better than others. Being a top character does not make them "broken". People really need to look into what broken means.
