Well maybe newble is right, how you gonna stop kobe? Obviously the celts didnt, kobe still had his numbers. The problem is, the celts stopped all the other lakers and we all know its a team sport. Now what Newble?
haha too bad the lakers got the last laugh... looks like the lakers won when they played this year and they will beat them this year if they play them in the finals
Bottom Line, its a new year and LA WILL BE THE CHAMPIONS, hope your bitch asses can get their because we would love to kick your asses like these two regular season games
EMOaushoj: It's actually quite the opposite. The Lakers have been spoon fed their last 3 titles and both Utah and San Antonio just got screwed. Of course, nobody talked about any free throw disparity when Utah only got 16 to the Lakers 43. But as soon as the NBA's darlings finally got the short end of the stick, the sports media acted like the sky was falling. And the reason why it's hard to stop Kobe is the phantom fouls he generates. MJ was the same way and had this same coach. Coincidence?
ira, boston is a nice place lol. but it's okay that you're a lakers. i'm a big kobe fan too, he's my favorite player in the NBA along with KG, but we obviously contained him in game 1.
Cmon 4 games? You gotta give the celtics a little more respect than that, i'd say 6-7 and the series could go either way. I'm hoping the Celtics take it personally.
he didnt say lakers in 4...smart guy...he said all they need is 4 more game wins considering all they've played 82 regular season games...lakers in 6!
If we can put Ariza and Newble in with Kobe and Sasha against one of the Celtics smaller line ups..WOW, can you say LOCK DOWN..I dont think we'll see Newble much but I think they will work Ariza back in the rotation.
that's exactly what I was thinking. Ariza could be a key factor. Everyone's talking about the Celtic's big 3. That doesn't mean anything because the Lakers have one thing that they don't...TEAM CHEMISTRY.
How long have this celtic team been together? This Laker team except for a few players have been together much longer so that's why I feel that will give them an edge alone with the best coach in the League. Does Rivers have that type of experience?

Lakers have been together longer, true. But the Celtics have played over 100 games together...seems like enough to me.
Coaching is the real mismatch. Phil Jackson is on of the best coaches of all time and Doc Rivers is lucky to have the talent level of the Celtics.
TouchtheSky1 3 years ago
thank you, the ira interviews are great, even though he doesnt play, he gives good insight on what the team is feeling, seems like a cool guy.
