This is very impressive by Philip Bloom as usual, but the C300 doesn't seem to impress me as much as the RED Scarlet. I know this is only a youtube test but even specs wise, the RED seems to be the much better choice. Although I should say....the low light footage in this is pretty unbelievable.
@Cloujus Don't look at specs and to be honest I have talked about this a lot on my blog they are two utterly different cameras for different jobs. The Scarlet may have 4k and RAW but it's offspeed is all cropped which is not great and it's low light...very poor. It needs to be lit for, well.
@880User088 I think it means the castle that burned down, tipped over, then sank into the swamp. But this fourth one stayed up. My French is rusty though...
@BenHughesStudios Easy to agree with nonsense Ben! Also easy to actually check out my work properly. I am primarily a documentary filmmaker. If you are that desperate to see me do narrative check out the new movie "Red Tails" or how about the soon to come out short film "Host" shot on Epic, trailer on my site. There that should help you get started! :)
I know... Its just that I among many people would love to see this type of work on a Philip Bloom original narrative. It would be a good experience to try something different too wouldn't it?
@BenHughesStudios hi Ben. My first love is documentary. As I said I have done a number of narrative pieces. Host, the latest comes out in January. Narrative films require a lot of work. A crappy narrative piece is pointless. You need good writing, good actors etc. All I did here was see how the C300 was at shooting the stuff I shoot. High detailed natural scenes.
@philipbloom He was complimenting you Phillip. I'm thinking that he probably thought that the images looked great here and would be great in a narrative film.
You're right though. Narrative films do require a LOT of work.
Stunning. A feast for the eyes. Will have to check out the download for proper quality but this is impressive. No sign of moire in the bricks. Did you run into any issues during the filming?
It's "La Nuit" not "La Nuite". Yup I'm french ! Oh by the way, I loove all of your videos !

Great stuff. Added this video to my "France" playlist. Just goes to prove you don't necessarily need good weather to create quality work.

well actually it should be ''La nuit'' with no ''e''. But it does not matter that much.

@880User088 Le Mont is the name of the place "Le Mont St Michel" La Pluie means the rain, La Nuite means the night.

You should make a short film with an actual story/actors and stuff one day, if it doesn't cost too much money
