  • Excellent performance, I am amazed by her movements, gestures and facial expressions...a true kuchipudi performer...She is able to pass the emotions to the audience, how rare and excellent... Meera, thanks for this amazing video, I hope I can watch one of performances alive one day...

  • when u come to Paris to dance for people here? U r just wonderful!

  • Hi Meera, I am a Bharatanatyam dancer in the U.S. and watching this dance I am inspired to learn Kuchipudi! You are a beautiful dancer, this was a lovely performance. May I ask what the name of this song is? Living in the US I do not have much exposure to classical music, the song is beautiful.

  • Hai Meera, I am also a kuchipudi artist. I started learning this art at the age of four from my guru SRI VEDANTHAM SATYANARASIMHA SASTRY from Hyderabad . Your performance is simpy superb. Please watch my videos and post your comment. Adarsh.

  • @utharajayakumarmenon

noted your comments, thank you . do point out my faults whenever u come across.

  • @utharajayakumarmenon I have been learning pure kuchipudi for about 4 years and actually the use of hips are very important. it is one of the main factors that make bharatanatyam and kuchipudi different. the type of hip movement is very different used in oddisi is very different than the type of hip movement meera used. but i agree. meera your abhinaya is beautiful

  • my guru is K.V subramanyam garu,

  • i meant that u shud not have done a lip sing.

specially as the singer is a male....it looks a bit odd to me...my personal suggestion.

  • @95malavika In kuchipudi it is a tradition that you lip sing with your items.

  • very good....

  • @kuchipudihaleem

    thank you.whos your guru?what do u do?

  • @kuchipudihaleem

thank you.what do u do n whos your guru?

  • Hi Meera, I can't personally see any fault in your dancing. You have reached a good level of maturity besides being technically very neat. How old are you?

  • @Natyadasi

  • @meeraguruvayur Hi dear,

I am a kuchipudi dancer too, although I started studying bharatanatyam before. I come from a long ballet (western classical dance) background and modern dance but I've been totally dedicating to indian classica dance for over 10 years. My guru is Vyjayanthi Kashi from Bangalore but I've also been learning items from my friend Bharathi Avireddy, an Andhra dancer living in Frankfurt, Germany.

  • @Natyadasi

have heard a lot about vyjayanthi maam.. though i havent met.. in kuchipudi have seen alekya punjalas live performance it was superb...

  • Excellent dancer!

  • @Natyadasi

thank u.r u a kuchipudi dancer, pls tell me my faults, the changes thts to be done etc...

  • excellent show meera....!! i really luv ur style of dancing.

but i feel u shouldn't have done lip sing as

the singer is a male...it looks a bit weird....

everything else was very nice and pleasing to watch......keep posting such performances so that all of us can see and enjoy.
