@Randy2477 ROFL!!!! Hilarious!! I hear this all the time when really it's just your shitty ass RG59 cable with no braid that can't carry signal worth a damn!!! Yet comcast sucks!!! ROFL!!! When dtv installs their equipment they drill two holes and bring in fresh lines which is why the pic will be good, until the wind blows!!! my parents have dtv and when i was over there the wind was blowing like 15 mph and that is what the picture looked like off and on for over an hour!! get dtv yay!!!
This is a sign of a weak signal. I don't have Comcast (as I live in Australia) but what you're seeing is when the MPEG2 decoder doesn't get the full information required to decode the image.
There is only a cost associated if it isn't a "comcast" problem.
That being said, what you are seeing here is 1 of 3 things that would be a comcast problem.
1. The box is going bad, it does happen. A good majority of boxes in the field are refurbished. Research the latest and greatest boxes and REQUEST specifically that one.
2. Weak signal strength or could be too many residents drawing from the signal. "You're screwed".
3. The main office needs to move channels on the band of frqncy
this happens to me everytime it gets really cold. I live in Minnesota, it gets really cold here A LOT. They sent a technician out here last year and he said the mainline needed to be replaced and I didn't need to be home for them to do this. So two days later when I'm at work they canceled the appointment because it got warmer. I've called this year numerous times to complain because they know what the problem is but the refuse to do anything about it.I will also be posting some video.
They were plenty tight. The problem was resolved (sort of) by a Comcast tech. He replaced almost all the coaxial cable in the house as well as the connectors on the outside of the house and then he got a better reading. It's only been a few days, so we'll see if that actually helps. The Comcast folks promised to waive the tech fee for this visit. We'll see if that actually happens.
lol that is caused by your box malfunctioning. Unless you have called them up to have a replacement or see wtf is going on with your channels then i dunno what to tell you.
I pay $60 per month for their bundle package, biggest waste of money. The first cable box they installed stopped working after just a day. They gave me a replacement which is a fucking joke; its a puny little thing that doesn't even have a power button. And their on-demand ALWAYS freezes and crashes on me.
The cable internet is suppose to be up to 6 mb, BULLSHIT! My old netzero DSL was faster! I just wish I didn't sign a year contract. That's how they get you
PLEASE dont go to directv!I used to work technical support and it SUCKS!!!Mark my word you will see error codes 721,711 and others ,its not worth the money you have to fork over .....try cox communications.
I have. I've even got good cables, not the radio shack crap. I have no idea what the problem could be. The set top box is now lagging when I push buttons on the remote. Sometimes upward of a minute of lag. Then it will execute the 10 commands that I pushed all at once. *sigh*
for me too. Im my area, there is only Comcast or sat tv. now on my area it came Verizon. At least verizon is getting big in my area. Hope Verizon in my area beats comcast by everyone having verizon or Sat.
looks like you have a problem with the cable lines in your house or fittings and to many splitters I would set up a service call with your provider to correct the issue.
Have I experienced this? Yes. Every damn day. The skipping of the shows, cable going out for about an hour a week, and the insanely loud(and very very frequent as well as annoying) commercials has forced me to name Comcast ENEMY #1
you can always call, 1800 comcast and we are oopen 24/7 for anything you need. rofl!

doesn't it only cost 99cents a month to have them fix stuff for you? Just set up some more service calls untill they fix it.

They wanted $75 for a service call. I got them to waive the fee after much harassing.

Cox isn't an option where I live. There's only Comcast or satellite. I'm looking at getting DishTV at this point.

um comcast sucks because like when yo first bill comes out it be like 500 something or even higher
sparky10234 4 years ago
What the heck are you buying from Comcast that could possibly be that high? My bill is about $80 a month.
vaxcave 4 years ago
im talking about when they add up all yo fees for the month in last month dude
sparky10234 4 years ago
I agree that Comcast bills are high, but I still don't see how your bill can be $500. Mine bill would only be $500 if I didn't pay them for 6 months.
