  • thank you so much for this

  • I recommend all Indians and Hindus especially to read Breaking India and Being Different by Rajiv Malhotra. It pertains to preservation of our timeless traditions and way of life. This Medha Suktam should be recited in the household of every Hindu, not relegated to some tome in some eclectic scholar in a university.

  • The sacred sound of the universe!! the transcendtal sound that transcends the universe and make a sound that reaches the soul within in a form that purifies it because, by it we are worshipping the creation, knowledge and the brhama, the final frontier of being or non existent!!... Sanjay Roy

  • Extraordinary rendition. So delightful, so pleasant to hear.

Can someone please post the meaning of this particular version of Medha Suktam?

I was able to find the translation for other versions on web, but not for the one recited in this video.

  • Does anyone know where I could find an mp3 file of this chant?? My mom would like to have this chant on her ipod. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • @RIDE3311 Google youtube to MP3, and you can convert it online.

  • @RIDE3311

Open up dirpy website. you can find it by a google search. Keep that open in another window. Highlight the url here , make a right mouse click, and then click on copy. The url is then in the mouse. Then go to dirpy page and click on the box in that page. Then right mouse click and click on paste . The url will appear in the box. Then click on th 'dirpy' button nearby. After that follow dirpy website instructions in the next page - actually you only need to click 'ok'. Its saved!

  • Thank you for posting this. Do you have Suryaashtakam - Album: Sacred Chants (with English translation) ? If you do, can you please post it? Thank you!

  • I'm no expert in chanting but I think they are missing one line at the end i.e. the last but one line "Om Mahadevyaicha Vigmahe....." . Nevertheless it is a wonderful experience to listen to the chanting

  • @kolluru100

Its ok. they could chant "Om mahadevyaicha vidmahe brahmapatniica dhiimahi tanno vaaNii pracodayaat" or this one. Both are ok.

  • @mahimaanarayanan Thank You So Much..Your Divine Slokas medha suktam is gives lots of help to protect my husband

  • thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • divine, and peaceful. Could someone post the meaning please.

  • can anyone explain to me about the way this slokam is chanted like the scales-lower octave-middle octave -and higher octave?? and why it is chanted this way???

  • it has to be learned from a guru. Or else you will get the script with notation. And with the script and the audio you can start the recitation. The ups and downs in the rendering is very essential to get the maximum result. Other wise even the meaning can go wrong if the ups and down or notation goes wrong.

  • Mind blowing---thanks!

  • beautiful...truly beautiful.....ideal to praise saraswati, goddess of music

  • great stuff. Who has sung this.

  • amazing...thanks for the post!!

    Jai Mata Saraswati!
