I have had a chance to train with Pat. Talk about an awesome guy. The few things I learned in 3 hours I try to impliment every time I train. He showed an awesome series for leg subs and some crazy half guard escapes to knee bar and full guard escape to triangle or armbar or hell just a pass to mount or side control. I really want to get up to his gym but that is one hell of a drive from here.
the video says that the fighters how to do 6 hours of aerobic work. if you do over 45 minutes of any exercising your actually destroying your body instead of improving.
@fredyzpt That kicking is so bad has everything to do with the focus of American MMA on the groundfight. Dutch freefight for instance, especially somewhat older matches like in the nineties or early 2000's are way more fighting oriented. Partly because of a different ruleset (often RINGS rules) and partly because the level of kickboxing in the Netherlands is enormously high, and any decent gym will offer good training.
Pat's schools focus on everyone beating the shit out of each other - and they lose to the Dan Hardy's and Georges St. Pierre's of the world who are coached to have more intelligent gameplans.
Rory Markham, Jens Pulver and Tim Sylvia's careers all took a turn for the worse because their opponents out-strategized them.
i wanna train in mma soo bad not for self defense or 2 be cool i jus followed the damn sport since 14 years old im 21 now least i can do is give it a damn shot
Here's some advice. Don't jump straight into MMA thinking you'll learn high caliber martial arts. go into BJJ, Muay thai, Wrestling, Judo, Karate, or whatever is available to you, preferably all at the same time. learn and then train for MMA.... just my two cents.
Pat Miletich was not only a great fighter, he was a strong dude. After reading blood in the cage, My respect for him skyrocketed. This guy had a hard life and never bitched and complained about it. He sucked it up and kept on working hard. He is an inspiration for someone like myself.
Just finished Sam Sheridan's wonderful book called "The Fighter's Heart," and the reasons for fighting are indeed complex. Fear, bad upbringing, appreciation of an art, meanspiritedness -- all valid. There are so many reasons, but perhaps the biggest is the need for men to test themselves and answer the question: How tough am I? That's my reason. The truth is that there are no undefeated MMA fighters. There is no invincibility, but these fighters thirst for it. Ultimately, it can't be achieved.
Well.... Pitbull, thats not true. Fedor IS undefeated. YES, his record says one loss, but that was a ref stoppage, and Fedor would have probably won that to.
I agree that Fedor certainly did not lose that particular fight. It should have been a no contest, but it was a tournament and someone had to move on. However, in other fights a ref stoppage is a legit way to lose. If you get cut and it's bad, it counts as a loss. I know that was not the case with Fedor, but that is one example of a ref stoppage that is valid. I agree that Fedor is quite unusual. Virtually all the best have lost.
you are right that stoppage is highly contested. either way if you ask anyone who knows what they are talking about they will tell you fedor is the best heavyweight alive for sure, if not the best pound for pound. gsp and a. silvia are about the only ones who can contest him pound for pound.
this training's tough, shamrock's traning's excessive, he kills his guys to prove heart but it doesn't teach them enough about fighting, it's done in a demeaning manner that kills them without the positive rebuild (just look at the fight records, miletich's a much more successful gym than the lion's den)
Great freakin video, definatly gotta get the kids comin in here talking shit about what they dont know.. but anyone who trains. knows what its like , and gives the mutual respect..
Ah yet again i see complete faggots who dont have the balls to train let alone fight dissing the best mma has to offer. if u haters were real mma fans you wouldnt be dissing our champs. but then again we need the sofa sitting mincers to make us real boys look good. fags.

what it takes to be a militech fighter: first you must be a WW (hughes) and lose your belt to a natural LW (penn). then you must get the shit beat out of you twice by GSP and lose your belt again. then you must get owned by an old man coming out of retirement and lose your belt to him, and choked out by big nog. then you (pulver) must get completely owned by a 21 year old kid and then get owned by BJ penn in the rematch with him.
All the people you named are Former Champs dumbass.. Hughes = The most Dominate Champion EVER for ANY weight class... and Pulver is fighting for the FW belt now against Urijah Faber in the WEC and won his last fight with a 35 second Choke. Your dumb.
Utubeuser1839 I checked out your profile and well its official... YOU'RE STILL GAY! How the fuck are you gonna smack talk undoubtely one of the best camps on the face of the earth. Everyone is gonna lose some fights and champions are the ones that make the best of those losses. Dude I will skull fuck you on the matts any day of the week plz plz I dare you to challenge me ya tard. MFS Rocks!
i know everyone has probably said how much off an idiot you are and i like to say i agree with them..pulver,hughes who are you to insult these great fighters who have accomplished more in one fight then you have in your entire pathetic life..i could say so much about just how lame you really are but theres no need just look in the mirror and you will see a stupid son of a bitch...

@region1111 Hey, first of all. Dan Hardy Sucks. Second of all, look at the age of the 3 miletich fighters you posted and then look at GSP's age.
TeamFSup 11 months ago
@TeamFSup you're all over the map.
Dan hardy doesn't suck, he's an elite fighter. Kind of a jerk though.
Also Rory Markham is younger than GSP.
Also don't use age as an excuse.
Also those fighters were being out-strategized many years ago.
Hopefully all three of those fighters make a comeback though.
