This is a really bizarre case. If we are to take into consideration the fact that they never found any wreckage and that eye witness account, it certainly looks like he indeed encountered something very unusual.

it was a shocking thing and I felt so sad for his father not ever knowing what happened to him .... think his dad is

dead now. Frederick was only a kid so to speak. Always broke my heart that. That poor poor boy. No one will ever know but God it was so terribly scary.

@mushythegr8t the plane vanishing? Actually, that is the best documented case of a UFO sighting in this country. I know this as I used to be really into this sort of thing and most books/webpages/other that deal with unsolved Australian disappearances, UFO sightings and abductions deal with the case of that Cessna.

There are weird things out there that science has yet to come up with an explanation for and yet there are still skeptics who refuse to acknowledge the unexplained
