I don't get this at all. Why would they do a cover instead of doing new material? Especially a song that is the signature tune of another artist.

To me they just look like they are just another bar band doing a Charlie Daniels song. And the vocal sounds karaoke.

dragknuckle, at these festivals, FUN is the number 1 concern. its less formal than a concert that they would be headlining. As you can see, the crowd was having a blast. I saw Brad paisley do "layla" rolled right into "dixieland delight". to me, that wasnt "oh Brad is karaoke-ing Clapton and Alabama." It was a combination of three of my favorite performers of all time. Its the same situation here.

Perhaps I am just jaded because I am a fiddler, and every time I start to play my instrument some yahoo always requests this song. It is a brilliant tune, but it is finished. It should be retired.

THIS was such an awesome performance!! My 19 month old son was dancing all over the living room with fire feet.. We felt like we were there. LOVE LOVE LOVE this version.

I have to laugh every time I see this video. This has to go down as the worst job by the people in the control room for the live video up on the big screens. Large stadium (Titan stadium right?) and the large screens are needed so everyone can see what is up on stage. Here is a song that features the fiddle and when JimmyD is playing his violin, most of the time the camera stays on Zac and his guitar. Pitiful. Thanks for the uploading your video though. I bet the show was awesome.
