Yes in NYC the affiliates were doing there own thing I think. Back in the DC area, we definetly were doing our own work for a while. I remember ABC 7 WJLA's footage of the pentagon

Kallstorm is right. There was a first attack on the WTC in 1993 from a bomb in the basement.

Gumbel had made a mistake. There was no third plane flying to the east next to the WTC. That looks like the size of a plane, but its like a chopper from the NYPD or a news chopper.
