  • fucking genius POET!!

  • Yes....the very best album and I have to say he was pretty easy on the eyes then. I love this entire album!

  • the best album sting did and perhaps will ever do after the police broke up.

  • hey fans, go check out the song Murder by numbers. lovely !

  • i was nine when this came out...if u didn't live in the 80's i feel sorry for your mother

  • luv it!takes me back to my younger vulnerable years, when i listened to it in the afternoon after school

  • i loved the police before... but this song and video (when i was about 10) made me a lifelong lover of sting... love his poetry, music and not to mention he is the sexiest man to ever live... how can you watch this video and not agree!?

  • why does panzert think this song is happy?

  • This video always makes me uncomfortable...like I'm witnessing something intimate, especially when he's staring into the camera..singing to the woman..love it, though!

  • Perfect

  • who cares about the video. lyrics and music. he is AWESOME! Could be dressed as elmo and he still rocks. The Police are one of the best bands ever.

  • worthless video, great song. i could have made a much better video and will when I figure out how...

  • It's just a story, for those fond of such music. I personally respect of Sting and his sense of music talent. With great respect, your old aficionados.

  • Love the song, and does anyone else get lost in those eyes? He's just gorgeous.

  • @lynfendleyfoster OMG YESSS LIKE HE IS LOOKING RIGHT AT YOU.

  • @lynfendleyfoster : and he still looks damn good at 60.

  • I seen him and the Police front and center seats many times. He is sexy as all hell and can melt you with a look....still today ; )

  • sting reminds me of a young clint eastwood.

  • I have loved this release since it came out!

I hear a lot of negativity about Sting's music, but he hs beena consistent and vibrant force on the scene for all of these years, and I can only hope that he's got more to say!

  • The video unfortunately is worth nothing, but the song, like much of the album is quite good.

The only good thing about the video is to hear the song and look at something else.

  • Amazing album...this is the last release Ive liked of stings...this record is filled with Jazz influences and the musicians he hired for this album were excellent.

Everything else hes done since this album has not been nearly as good as this or the police...this was a great song though...such emotion...it really hits the heart.

  • Sting is hot here. Great body.

  • I think the genius of Sting would be his ability to write lyrics that can stand on its own as a poem....without the music. He just happens to be a poet that is also a gifted musician.

  • this song made my lifelong love of sting..

  • スティング"ブルー・タートルの夢"から、素晴らしいFortressAroundYourHeart"~無念!今はカークランドはいない~マルサリスのサックスもむせぶ!

  • Wasn't there another video for this song back in 1985, where Sting is in a cell gluing obsolete money to a wall?? Whatever happened to that video?

  • @ATeam192 Yes, there was. It is also on my channel. Marked as 'Fortress Around Your Heart (Full Version).

    Thanks for watching.

  • @ShaBiCaoNiMa I don't see the one that says (full version) , could you please post the link? thanks

  • @ATeam192 Unfortunately, YouTube does not allow links to be posted in the comments box.

Check my channel again. I only have 20 uploads! :)

  • @ShaBiCaoNiMa Ok I saw it at the very end of the video. I thought I remembered the gluing money as a bigger part of the video but of course it was 26 years ago. My memory's not that good I guess. Thanks

  • @ShaBiCaoNiMa That's the I remeber...you also have a new sub!!!

  • @ATeam192 sting looks utterly pissed off in this video. i remembetr in the other one he just look s camera. this is such a powerful song i can see why Sting would have a problem putting into the pop enigma video machine, where it becomes trivialized. luckily this song is even too powerful for that to affect its beauty

  • @ATeam192 maynbe he just got done doing some heavy tantra .

  • i remember when i first heard this song and i rushed out to buy it on a 45 single i think it is incredible and tells the story of what two people can do to oneanother i dedicate this to my husband ~ Marguerita Parsons McComas

  • Stings' finest solo album according to my personal observation...........

  • Ya know, he could have at least made more of an effort at FAKING playing the guitar! Lord! Great song with great visualizations, however.

  • expensive chords!

  • 2:47 to 2:57 mmm mm mmmm...

  • Has any one ever seen the entire video? I would love to know where to see the hole thing again.

  • this is my all-time favorite Sting song...can put my headphones on, shut my eyes, and I am in 1985 again.

  • the best song ever!

  • I think Sting has written better *songs* than this, but this is by far his best *poem*. The imagery is amazing. Don't look at the video, there's going on there anyway... close your eyes and listen to the words and visualize what he is saying... it's like a movie.

(jabba974: staring contest starts @1:45. Bastard just doesn't blink!)

  • @mickycisme Musically it's one of his best songs, trust me. It corresponds beautifully with the lyrics, and is very very difficult to sing because of the constant key AND mode changes, and very expensive chords

  • THIS ITEM UNDER MY ADOLESCENCE.BRIILANT

  • @88Panzzer If you're referring to the video, I somewhat agree! But compare it to what else was getting around at the time, and it is on par. In the 80's, camp was cool!

  • @ShaBiCaoNiMa - The man was a 'sex symbol' as well as a pop star at the time. This is heavily marketing the 'sex appeal' side! :P I'm not gay, but he was a pretty handsome guy in his day...

  • @piginasack you are gay

  • @stacigay1 - You wish sweety.

  • @88Panzzer You're the expert.

  • @NintendoCapriSun Not agreeing with you or 88Panzzer. This is one of Sting's best work in his years of singing

  • @88Panzzer wanker....

  • @88Panzzer i just go to work cleaning floors and i play this song like five times in a row, with repeat, most nightsx

  • Haha... Does anybody else notice that he does'nt blink at all in this video!! lol

  • @jabba974 Wow you are right. It DOES add to the effect doesnt it?

  • amazing jam. perfect

  • i love this song as much as i did when it first came out...

  • The self destructive Western collective and the slippery oil slick

    The oily footprints

    "Oil that is"...

and up from the ground came a jihadi with a gun....

    The Beverly Dunebillies

The little islamic shop of horrors

    Feed me dhimmi, feed me.....

  • @quietwarvictim wtf?

  • @DONNHATE I'm guessing transcribed captions.

  • This was a great album

  • My favorite song from this album

  • : )

  • awsome video
