  • How sad that "Mercy Corp" used these kids to support Hamas. What about the kids in Sderot that get bombed constantly. What about a kid named Osher age 12 who had his leg blown off by a Kassam rocket or Tzahar a little deaf kid who couldn't hear it coming? What about a little 8 year old girl name Lior who had her face filled full of shrapnel? No songs for them?

    Gaza? This is sickening.

  • Your All Fu**ing Awesome.

Im kinda in the middle of the conflict,

but we are living normal lives after all.

finally a song with a meaning and not another "I Love You" song.

I'm about your age and i have a band but it will probably will take us years to talented like you guys.

    keep being fu**ing awesome.

  • You guys have a Myspace Music Page or something? id really like to hear a recorded version of this. Its very catchy. I like this alot! Keep it up guys.. I wish i would have started playing guitar or drums when i was as young as you guys.

Hope you keep rocking for time to come!

  • I totally agree with 1waylane.

that guy is probably 20 or 30 something yrs old and probably has no musical talent. I respect these guys 100% They're talented musicians and they write good music. Why would you get on here and bash a few kids and not someone your own age? HAHAHA and he totally got pwnd by them with the Green Day thing... He has NEW Green Day on his profile hahaha shows how much he knows about good music.

SP, you guys are good and don't let that guy get under your skin

  • Wow Jimzisabeast1, I really would like you too write a song that people would like. These kids are talented, and if you don't like their sound or songs, then go listen to something you would like. Really, Grow Up Buddy.

  • you guys are great! I've been checkin up on your band every once and a while for about 2 years now to see how your "artistic abilities" have grown, and I must say you guys are blowing me away!! I'm in a band too and I can say it's hard writing good songs, but you guys are naturals!!! I've already bought you're album graffiti on itunes and i love it! I love the songs you write too, it opens everyones eyes to what's REALLY happening in the world. keep it up and God Bless you guys!

  • Yeah - you're right - there aren't ANY REAL rock songs that aren't about drugs and sex and stuff. Rock songs are never about REAL issues, they are just about crap. The 850 people who came out to the show that night seemed to like our stuff, and they keep coming to our shows and buying our CDs and stuff. Maybe our music just isn't for you - so why don't you go find some that you like and not waste your time watching our vids?

  • ROFL - just went to your page and saw that you have 21 Guns on your page. Why don't you tell Green Day that "noone" cares about war and politics and that they should write REAL rock songs? LMFAO

  • How do you pretend to have any idea why these people came to see us, or why they continue to come see us? By the way, when you mean "they are" it is spelled "they're". It kinda makes you look ignorant when you can't tell the difference between they're, their and there. Sorry that "the way we present ourselves" bothers you. We were 13 when this vid was shot. We present ourselves as some kids who like to play rock. This is just one of our songs that happens to be a little slower tempo.

  • Have you even looked at any of our other videos? This is one song from one show. We take plenty of feedback when it's given in a constructive way. WHAT IS THIS CRAP isn't exaclty constructive, is it? Check out our covers of Rock and Roll or Boys are Back from this same show. Tell me that the audience is saying "aw look at those kids". By the way - grammar DOES matter, unless you want to go through life looking ignorant. We play what and how we want to play. It's not for everyone.

  • WHAT IS THIS CRAP! Dear god what happened to rock and roll. songs about conflict in the middle east?! are you f***ing serious!?!?! this crap isn't rock, its just sh***y little teeny bopper pop music, dont get me wrong im not saying you guys arent talented, but seiously o my god this is NOT good music. BRING UP THE NOISE, play faster, louder, stop singing about gay little kid crap and start being a real rock band, drugs sex and rock an roll is where its at you guys need to wait a few more years.

  • dude if you listen to greenday then you can't say what rock is... and if this ain't a rock song then neither is stairway to heaven

And the orriginal members of metallica started playing when they were like 13 and 14

  • yes no one gives a crap about things going on in the world, that's why we had live aid... *rollseyes*

  • Wow, this song raises my spirit, maybe that's not the vibe but I like the groove of it a lot. The bassist is incredible by the way; oh WTH the whole band is immense : D

    \m/ 5 Stars and a fav.

  • Thanks a lot!

  • amazing work!

  • It's good to know that you guys are getting involved with events around the world. Pretty awesome riffage here

  • Excellent song! I heard it for the first time yesterday , and I can't stop listening to this song. Too bad there's not a recorded version of this song. The lyrics are great and and it's really awesome that you not only write about the Gaza conflict, but also participating in a charity concert.

your other songs r great too.

BTW, how many hours a day do u guys practice?

  • u'd b laughed off of bgt or xfactor

  • u guys prbly get a bunch of comment and stuff...but u guys r all prbly like a year younger than me and ive always wanted to do what u guys already do...just keep rockin it out and hope to see u as big as green day or mettalica some day cuz u guys r plenty tallented

  • Thanks a lot!

  • hey

  • Kewl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Guys you are SUCH good songwriters. That's the thing every band wants and needs. You're on a roll trust me ;)

  • great job you guys. :)

  • Even tho it has no drums, its still Great. i love the intro above all with the bass, and the little guitar solo if you will.

If i can offer a suggestion.

Maybe when you recorde this song in studio, add some drums along with the Keys. i'd be sweet

    Great Job

  • wow, this concert is nearly bigger than our best one.

    man, you guys are great

  • AMAZING. you guys rock!

  • Awesomeness

  • that song is feckin class

  • dude ok u guys might be young and kids and all and people might go like u guys suck because ur young or something but hey u guys are taletned and i can see that u will have a better future then the haters that talk trash bout u

  • y'all are AMAZiNGLYY HOTT. :]

    i love yoo ahahaha

check out my videos too please??? :D

it would mean everything to meh.

and grant--- i know yur friend jake from nc. :]

  • nice guys. what kind of guitar is your guitarist using in this video? it doesn't look too familiar to me:)

  • It's a custom made guitar by a local Portland guy named Steve Nelson. He uses killer wood and amazing pickups and stuff. I have a Nelson too (Grant)

  • wooah dudes! This stuff is awesome! You guys are very creative, and talented to be doing this at your age. Does your name alone fill up this venue? How many people are here?

  • No - we didn't fill the Crystal Ballroom on our own. There were 3 other bands there and it was a fundraiser so that all helped to get people there. There were about 800 people there that night - it was awesome to play for them.

  • did anyone ask you to write this

  • No - we just wrote it on our own because we felt like it. We studied the conflict in school and thought it would make a cool song.

  • So did you just join to trash people? nice - not!

  • Dude, why so harsh? It's fine you don't like us...we don't expect everyone will. You are right that we have lots of opportunities to play...we know we are lucky...but we also work hard. We reply to our comments because we want people to know we appreciate it when they take time to write to us. Most people thank us for responding. Anyway, fortunately for you there is lots to listen to/watch on youtube...keep searching and we're sure you'll find something you do like. Peace.

  • Hey could u guys post some lyrics to it?

  • Um - they already are! Look to your right!

  • u guys r good but dont take it the wrong way but I can barely hear Reed's voice...ITS MY OPINION...plz dont get mad

  • No reason for us to get mad. The mix that night at the show wasn't great. He was definitely hard to hear. It happens sometimes at live shows, especially when there are other bands playing before you.

  • ok...thanks for telling me :)

  • u guys r so good for just being kids...this is like my favorite of all the songs u guys made

  • Sorry you don't like our stuff. Why are you spending time watching our videos if you think we are so bad? There are millions of vids out here, why not go find some you like?

  • tru that man

  • dude ya songs get better and better and they re ALL awesome...i mean it you guys ll get really famous just keep rockin ;)

maaany greets from germany!...hehe i am gonna make you well known here as well^^

  • wow guys are good

    please chek my vids

  • I love this song!!! its cool how Grant played the piano too!! There's not one song that I can't like from this band their so great!!!

  • I can't wait to hear a recorded version of this - it grows on me more every time I listen to it.

  • Thanks. It's actually better when the mix is better. It doesn't sound very good on this vid. Can you hear the bass? It's better with headphones or good speakers. We're hoping to record it soon.

  • I had to re-EQ my sound to tweak the bass a bit, but it is easier to hear it wearing headphones. Do you ever do soundboard recordings of your shows? That would be tight if you did because you could re-mix it later (unless it's just a stereo mix out which would still be cool)...you should do that - I'd be way interested in getting some soundboard copies of your shows!

  • Actually, this sound did come off the board. It's also mixed with some audio from the video cams. Most places won't give you anything but a stereo feed because it's a lot of work to record individual channels off the board at a live show.

  • Yeah I'm listening on some high definition good quality headphones and it sounds better but I understand how the mix at live venues isn't always going to be the best, especially with other bands playing before you. A recorded version of this would be awesome.

  • haha i am amazed! i cant wait until you become world wide famous, and i can say, "I know them from ponybox!" xD

  • Did you guys really make this? This is awesome! This could be one of my faves in this genre. Have to listen to more of your songs now.

  • Yes, we wrote it. Thanks!

  • you are really talented, this is such a class song!

  • you guys are great i dont know other kids in your age who are thinking about the gaza conflict ok, i do but all the boys in my class are ´not like you: they dont think about these themes and they dont know classic rock!!!!

no boy and no girl in this age know led zepelin or thin lizzy ok , i do... but you guys seem older than you are

    peace laila

  • how old are you guys?

  • I'm grant - 13, Reed 13, Andrew 12.

  • im in portland and ive never seen u guyz...?

  • Well, there are probably lots of people in Portland who haven't seen us! Maybe you can vote for us for battle of the bands. Check out our YouTube home page theres a link to vote. Thanks!

  • sure, I'll check it out. =)

  • hey were u guys on americas got talent at seattle? or tacoma recently?

  • Ahhhhh, amazing job on the piano grant!

  • did you guys play any of your songs off of graffiti at this show or just covers?

  • wow guys!!This is a pretty awesome song..I really like it! Grant you were great at piano. ;D

  • Do you come in Belgium Please ?! I Really Love You're Songs But i didn't hear them live jet !

    Greetzz Maude

  • This song is great! like all of your songs. I got the album and it's really awesome! It's way better than a lot of those famous bands out there! I wish I were as talented as you, Grant .. lol I honestly can't wait for you guys to break out even more so you can come play in belgium!

  • Come to England. say Manchester.

    Like now?

  • That would be awesome! We'd love to. Maybe some day...

  • please do =]

  • Oh Aye, come to Manchester, pretty much now

  • whoever plays the bass, he should put his strap lower

  • Thanks for checking out our vids. You might think it "looks cool" to have your guitar down by your knees, but it's not really where it's supposed to be. We aren't really trying to look cool, we're trying to play our instruments well. For the best control, guitars (and basses) should be up around your hips, not down by your knees. It's just what we have been taught by our guitar teacher. Thanks.

  • Correct! I started by playing with my bass slung low - had to drop my left shoulder down and my wrist would start to hurt while I was playing because of the angle I had to bend it. Moving up the strap was the solution and my bass is now hip level when I play. No more wrist pain.

  • Yeah, but by that logic, everyone might as well be sitting down on chairs.

  • Not true at all. That's the whole point of a guitar strap - so you can stand up but the guitar/bass hangs right where it would if you were sitting down!

  • i find it easier to play electric bass higher because it is more natural and more like playing the upright bass. nice song!

  • What a great effort. Keep up the passion and enjoy every moment of this

  • Grant - cool job on the keys! Awesome new song - more soon I hope, talk to ya' later

  • Awesome !! You're Fantastic and Its Like You're Playing like 15 Years !

    Maude

  • Looks like an awesome venue! You guys rock

  • I really like the sound of your guitar. What guitar is that and what amp do you have? And if you could, please put an estimate on how much they each cost. Thank you. :)

  • he's probly using a distortion pedal. that's how you get that sound. they run from $50-$99 depending on who made it. hope that helpd

  • Actually, Reed doesn't use a distortion pedal. That tone comes mostly from the amp and some from the guitar. The amp is a Fender Supersonic. Tube amps have the best tone!

  • yeah, i kno. and, thx. nice song btw.

  • Awesome-tastic!!

Grant, Were you wearing skinny jeans? Nice. :)

  • Comment removed

  • reed do u still get guitar lessons?

Btw do u know all ur scales like ur modes and pentatonics?

  • Hey, I liked the song. I do enjoy the concets, but I enjoy your cd's more I think. Its easier to hear your voices and pick out the words ;). So Grant, we can we hope to have Still Pending's Second album :D?

  • Wow! That was just so great. I love the instruments and the vocals. And I really loved the you guys wrote about the conflict in Gaza. I love songs with good meanings.

  • you guys are fairly class :) id buy your album anyway

  • wait who answers this comments grant reed or andrew

jw by the way u guys rock!! lol

  • This is Grant...I answer all the youtube stuff. Otherwise it gets too confusing.

  • dude can i be ur drummer plzzz

  • oh cool what grade are u guys in 7th 8th 6th lol?

  • hwo old are you guys like 12 or 13? and your writing songs with meaning about something important that happened? thats pretty awesome and this is coming from a 14 year old musician as well.Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks! Reed (guitar) and I (Grant, drums) are 13. Andrew (bass) is 12. Good luck with your own music.

  • thanks, i'm gonna need it since i don't have a band or anything.. you guys wouldn't happen to need another guitarist who lives out in az would you? lol

  • This is an incredible song and really well performed!! 5 stars, Sev

  • Thanks, we can always count on you to say something nice... We are really proud of this song and it can sound even better...the mix wasn't quite right but you get the idea. Have a great rest of the weekend.

  • You're welcome :) It's all true!! And you can totally be proud of this song. You did an awesome job.

  • waaiiit,,, new song neww album right!? (FINGERS CROSSED)

  • lol...the new one just came out...it'll be a while before the next....this is the first new song we have written since Graffiti was released.

  • you guys are actually amazing :) i find it hard NOT to comment on your videos, Reed your singing has improved so muchh ;D sooo goooddd! i love thissss, well done ;3

    x

  • We think it's so TIGHT that you always take time to comment. THANKS!

  • This song really needed a drummer, if for no other reason to help everyone else stay in time. The lack of a heartbeat resulted in a fairly loose peformance, especially at the beginning.

  • Hey, thanks for taking time to comment...but I would have to disagree...this is Grant, the drummer. The problem in the beginning was the crowd noise and the imbalance between the sound of the keys and the guitar. Keys are a percussion instrument and should be enough to keep all together if they can be heard. We just couldn't hear each other. We have decided to try this next time with an acoustic guitar. We are really proud of this song and know it can sound better. We'll keep working on it.

  • It's good that you at least understand the problem and are working on it. A bad monitor mix (or no monitors) can definitely cause trouble. Your band has great potential. Remember the "three Ps" of performance - Pitch, precision, and personality. Get those right, and you'll fly!

  • wooo you rock grant! lol (you told em!)

  • exellent guys. nice one upload more footage. i wanna see more :)

  • ehy Grant, since you needed a drummer for this song, why do not you have called us? Daniele was free on last April 10, ahaha
