  • cool

  • You keep saying UMPC. This is not a UMPC, its an eBook.

  • He knows the Kindle is a UMPC, he's saying his SAMSUNG is a UMPC... >.>

  • no, he's saying its the same size as his umpc, not that it IS one.

  • The kindle is AWESOME! It saves money, trees and shelf space.

    Haters? Shut your mouths!

  • I got my Kindle..like it..I read an interesting polemic on Kindle, "Justifiable Homicide"..serious, funny, entertaining..author has captivating style.

  • a good knife.. for bear hunting

  • TFS! I'm intrigued and want one, but a paperback is less likely to get stolen on the beach. I'd be constantly worrying about it. LOL not that I spend a lot of time on the beach... ;)

  • reading books makes you smarter than any other type of studying! I would rather call computer gaming guys more of nerds than readers.

  • I like to read while standing on my nose.

  • rip off. Im not paying 400 bucks to read a book when I can get dozens of books for that price.

  • wtf is tht..

    its like a hudge blackberry

    weird.

  • the design of the buttons is a bad feature, there is no way to hold it in one habd without hitting the oversized side buttons

  • Can' get these over here in Europe, so I have no personal experiance with the Kindle, but can't you hold it like a nrmal book if you use the supplied fake lather cover?

  • sort of, if you keep it in the cover, but the cover does not hold it very securely. the entirity of its two sides are made upof buttons along the edge, that is why it is hard to hold.

  • Don't worry. It'll be available for you. We can't afford it and so I'm sure you can. And you'll be able to hold it nice. Get a good grip...like you usually do...and hold on. You'll get what you want...

  • There is, and its the way you would hold a book... from the bottom, in the middle, between the two halves of the keyboard, except yeah.. books dont have keyboards, but you get what im saying.

  • most people carry this without the cover, so there is no middle to hold. When you read the back cover of a paperback, where do you hold it? on the side

  • is this possible to display images or documents in PDF, DOC or SXC format?

Of course i mean black-white or grayscale images in BMP, JPG or PNG format...

  • i dont like the idea of the kindle.. i mean sure, it's innovative and many people may love it due to it being an entire library in the palm of your hands in a sense. but, i love having a book in my hands and flipping through the pages; not holding a piece of plastic scrolling on a wheel. i don't see the kindle going too far, going to be a brief fad if anything.

  • you do not scroll through pages , you press the next page button

  • I think you've overestimated the amount of people who find holding paper more exciting than content.

  • Ok, phrehaps you shold have had some notes with this video , you seemed to go over the same notes over and over again. Plus the box unwrapping seemed a little bit irrelavent. None the less nice vid

  • haha you whistle with every S you say it hurt my ears but cool product

  • Wow

    environmentally friendly packaging lol

    looks good though

  • lol hes so like roguh with it. id be so careful

  • you buy the ebooks from Amazon.

You can share books with up to 6 Kindles from the same account.

  • I would say it's about the size of [something most of you guys don't know the size of].

  • lol

  • Anyone else think its ironic they shipped paper documentation with an ebook reader?

  • now that's thinking out of the box! excellent observation!

  • I wanna get one of this. Where do you get ebooks from?

  • For something that supposed to be good for the environment, it looks like an awful lot of packaging is involved.

  • It's a shame it does not support PDF

  • You can e-mail PDF files to the kindle. They also have a free service to do this so you don't get charged the ten cents.

  • i like the concept... its pretty neat... saves loads of paper... its green! lol... but u should be allowed to share books and blogs should be free!

  • to be honest it looks pointless i'd rather buy real books then download them. no one will ever find the actual book 'killer' lol
