I really don't understand the rivalry between L/J and L/S shippers. James and Sev both bullied and they both loved Lily. They both tried their best to protect her. They both died for her. In my eyes, they're equal. Great song!
I feel so bad for Snape. He loved Lily and risked his own life for her son, after he screwed up his friendship with her. Lily/James is perfectly fine and I love that. But doesn't anyone else think that Lily going off and dating James after Snape and her ended their friendship was horrible for Snape? Because James and Snape mutually hated each other and for Lily to go date James was just a slap in the face. It's just kind of depressing.

I think Snape is a fantastic character, but I still ship Jily just because we hardly see anything of James. Lily does NOT seem like the kind of woman to turn around and marry an arsehole, so he must've turned out 'worthy' in the end.
As much as I adore Snape (flawed characters ftw) and as much as I would wish good on him... I don't think things could have turned out any differently. It breaks my heart because they were friends for - what? 5-6 years? However, I've had that kind of long-term friendship myself. And it cracked as we ultimately had different mindsets. And it hurt.
I could go on for much longer but the sum of it all is that I think a sound snogging would have done him good. Ain't saying with who though ;)

I definitely support Lily and James, not Lily and Severus. James was a very good man his whole life. It is true, shown from the way he treated Snape and how he acted when he was younger, that he was arrogant before, but he changed. He was obviously very brave (he died trying to protect his family) and he is also a more likeable person than Snape. I see him as being good natured and a good man and OF COURSE HE AND LILY LOVED EACH OTHER, in Snape's case it was unrequitted.
@GlassesAndScar Lily changed Snape in so many ways. she was his only friend and he always loved her. true love is when you continue to love someone no matter what. Snape made decisions and choices that were very bad, but one of the morals of the series is that you can always try to set things right or make the best of the situation. Lily died and Snape changed to help the Order and Harry, the only thing left of the girl he loves. proof of his love is his patronus. Lily- by being his friend.
Sorry, I don't think Lily should be with Sev. He loved Lily for real, but that doesn't mean James didn't love truly aswell. what i dont understand is why everyone blames Lily and Snapes friendship ending on that one incident in which Sev called her a mudblood. That is ridiculous. If prince's tale showed us anything it was that him calling her a mudblood was more like the final straw in a long string of incidents. it was the final thing that showed lily they're friendship couldnt go on, because it was clear that Severus had a true prejudice that Lily was merely an "exception" to. ok, i love Snape soo much, but I support James/Lily fully. If there want James and Lily, there would be no Harry. Then where would we be? Ya James was arrogant before, but Sirius and Remus said it themselves and he changed once he started to date Lily. So Snape it one of my favorite people after Deathly Hallows but I dont think that he should be with Lily.

I definitely support Lily and James, not Lily and Severus. James was a very good man his whole life. It is true, shown from the way he treated Snape and how he acted when he was younger, that he was arrogant before, but he changed. He was obviously very brave (he died trying to protect his family) and he is also a more likeable person than Snape. I see him as being good natured and a good man and OF COURSE HE AND LILY LOVED EACH OTHER, in Snape's case it was unrequitted.

@GlassesAndScar Lily changed Snape in so many ways. she was his only friend and he always loved her. true love is when you continue to love someone no matter what. Snape made decisions and choices that were very bad, but one of the morals of the series is that you can always try to set things right or make the best of the situation. Lily died and Snape changed to help the Order and Harry, the only thing left of the girl he loves. proof of his love is his patronus. Lily- by being his friend.

Sorry, I don't think Lily should be with Sev. He loved Lily for real, but that doesn't mean James didn't love truly aswell. The thing is, I think Lily chose James over James because James changed for her, and Sev didn't. He became a Death Eater. Ok, James was a bully to Sev, but he let Sirius move in with him when he ran away, he befriended Peter who was just a poor kid, and he became an animagus ilegally just to help Remus. People only see Sev's POV, hat about James'? L/J all the way ♥

As much as I love L/J, I feel really bad for Snape. He loved Lily so much that he was willing to risk his life for her son, and still loved her even after she left with the man Snape hated the most. I feel like there aren't enough Snape/Lily wrock songs out there, and there should be.

what i dont understand is why everyone blames Lily and Snapes friendship ending on that one incident in which Sev called her a mudblood. That is ridiculous. If prince's tale showed us anything it was that him calling her a mudblood was more like the final straw in a long string of incidents. it was the final thing that showed lily they're friendship couldnt go on, because it was clear that Severus had a true prejudice that Lily was merely an "exception" to. Lily couldn't tolerate that hypocrisy.

Does no one else realize that if this was about Lily and Severus, Lily wouldn't be singing that she loves him to. Lily never loved Severus, she only loved James, so it's obviously about Lily and James.

"If Severus Snape had made some different choices, Lily may have very well loved him. All love is not romantic love though. " So Lily never actually "loved" him, all JKR said was that if he had changed himself and given up the dark arts she may have formed romantic feelings for him in the future.
