  • Wear a white sheet when taping black guns for us.

  • You really need better lighting.

  • i found an old ruger like that except the grip was made of wood and the end barrel of the gun was skinnier then then the begining of it

  • not a good video; good intentions, but blocking the user's view

  • whoever designed this gun should be SHOT...

  • This is the reason I sold my Mark 3.

  • Ruger need to improve this! like Beretta or many gun makers do not have this problem!

Redesign this! RUGER because I like the gun but assembly is pain on the butt!! read instructions and go crazy with it......Decided Buy NEOS (from Beretta..MY OPION ONLY)

  • @CharlieDoan I agree 100%...cool gun but sucks BIg when it comes time to clean it..........properly

  • If the hammer spring assembly falls right in and stays like you did, you do NOT have the hammer strut in the correct position. If the strut is in the correct position, you have to push the assembly in, the strut will collapse the hammer spring a little. Your gun would NOT have fired as you showed.

  • thanks your vids help me out alot

  • Great job! I watched a ton of videos before you made it clear.

  • just pull the rigger and shake the pistol and you can hear the hammer pop up, then you need to tilt the pistol with the barrel up and let the strut fall to the mainspring and then slip the MSH into position and latch it. The bolt wont pull back if the strut isn't in place. If the bolt goes back and the you can function check, you did it.

I found it more of a challenge to get the upper all the way on, I had to hit it with a plastic hammer.

  • so after u put in the bolt check inside of the grip and, push the silver peice (hammer) up (into the bolt) it wont take a lot of force to if its not moving up check to make sure the hammer stuck swings down and is above the horizontal pin that u can see inside the grip insert the spring stop and insert rest of the housing ABOUT HALF WAY! carefully FLIP THE GUN UPSIDE DOWN this will cause the strut to fall into the spring hole. close it up and rack the slide a (dirty strut will cause problems)

  • I own one of these pieces of crap. It misfires with every type of ammo I have used, especially if I load more than 5 rounds in the magazine. Re-assembly is a nightmare. I'll give it away. Definitely not something I'd pull out to really shoot someone with!!! Only good for target practice if you don't mind wasting 10-20 rounds out of 50. :(

  • this gun is the BIGGEST pain in the ass to put back together. I can't even get it to work. I guess I'll have to take it by a gun store now and get them to show me since NONE of these videos know how to shine a flashlight down the gun so we can see what they are talking about. I'm ready to sell this piece of crap and I've never even shot it yet. God, I love my Glock.

  • check out my video maybe it will help. The first time I broke down my Mk1 it took me a month to put it back together so I feel your pain. Once you learn the simple steps it can be done in 38 seconds.

  • Will do. Thanks a lot. I really don't know why they don't design it like a standard auto pistol. The thing I had so much issue with was lining up the firing pin correctly. Thanks again.

  • let me know if that works or not

  • Sounds good. It should be ok. It will probably be a while until I take it apart again since I cleaned it and haven't fired it. But I'll let you know....even if it's a year from now. Thanks again.

  • @texasdustfart I actually say your video before when I was trying to get mine back together. The video itself is one of the best. However, it would've probably helped out a little if someone was shining a flashlight down into the area you were explaining. Since the gun's black, it's a little tough to see exactly what you did on some of the steps. But overall, great video. Thanks again.

  • Let me know when you want to sell it, I'll buy it from you. Patience is a virtue.

  • It's no exaggeration that these pistols can be a pain to reassemble, ive had the same trouble with mine.

  • dude is that your pink apron hanging in the background ?

  • this might surprise the likes of you, but maybe he actually lives with a female *gasp*, usually they just call the police on you.

  • Needs more light!! Good information, but the last step is a lot easier if you just follow along in the manual. Tipping the firearm upside down as stated helps the hammer go into the proper position

  • The instruction here is useless. Go to Moe's Video for the disassembly/assembly of the Ruger Mark III. Very clear explanation. This is muddy and merky.

  • The vid is much appreciated but difficult to see just what you're doing- the dark areas are all black onscreen- might want to open up the shadows a bit. For something so small and fiddly as this $%&* mechanism I'd love a real clear look at what you're doing. Thanks

  • like what you see? dont be nervous! MESSAGE ME (msn)! u

  • ya i took mine apart and every time i try and put the main spring housing in, it will go in but i can't get it to go all the way, it just goes and tries to spring up again, can you tell me what i am doing wrong

  • This video shows the little trick: nYHJm2P4kP0

  • i did my ruger now the bolt is tight to cock back what do you think happened

  • I have the same problem! What was the fix for you?

  • Thank you, your series is very helpful.
