@duke19881614 Both of the brothers are in the backing vocals. :-) "Walls Have Eyes" was more or less a Bee Gees album with Robin's name on it, just as "How Old Are You" was a Robin and Maurice LP.
Another pop masterpiece from my favorite Bee Gee, The incredible Mr Robin Gibb! He is brilliant, a wonderful song writer, & even better singer. I LOVE "Toys" it's sexy as hell, with a killer chorus, beautiful hypnotic synths over a exquisite melody. *****STARS Gary in PA USA
I think this was a BeeGees song that didn't make it onto a BeeGees album. I can hear Barry in the chorus. Robin must have liked it so much that he put it on his solo album. And it is fantastic.
It was written in 1985, at that point no Bee Gees album had been made for 4 years and the next would come 2 years later.:D
All 3 brothers wrote the Walls Have Eyes album together, but Barry stayed out of it vocally apart from this single, but the writer credits credit Barry alongside Robin and Maurice for all of the songs.
Not the entire album, though. Barry didn't co-write "Gone with the wind" or "You don't say 'us' anymore". The rest of the songs were a combined effort by the three brothers like you say. :)
I can't believe that the comments here are about Robin's hair and not this video. I'm so happy to see it, having hoped to come across it for 20 years! It's a beautiful song. I have the LP and it's one of my most cherished records.
Robin`s hair went thin in 1987, he combated it, by wearing his hair long down the back, he wore it pushed forward on top. I have seen him bald on top, with long, thick hair, down his back around 1995. He started to wear a hair piece in 1998!
It's normal. Robin has typical male pattern balding, called androgenetic alopecia, that affects every third men. He's almost fully bald now, thereby covering it with a hairpiece when in public.
IMO, he looked so much better with long hair around 1990-1993.
@tomarkenfan83 I agree, why don't they just slap an Advert on the beginning or something, I can live with sitting through a 30 second ad as long as I get to listen to great music like this :)

....Yes, thats right.
And on the Tales from the Brothers Gibb set Robin says all 3 sing on it at some point.
What's your point, it seems we are both making the same statement!

Did anyone else ever hear the "Christmas Remix" of this, with sleigh bells mixed into the percussion?
Every time I hear the real version, I miss them - they just made it that much cooler. :-P
