Yet another cheap and boring TV show about nothing of interest. I also hate Tesco's for what they've done to the iconic car-park in the Michael Caine classic film 'Get Carter'. Yes their having it demolished to build another Tesco's. They'll be demolishing castles next and replacing them with supermarkets.
Designers need to think about the car park and pedestrian access as well as the buildings. Design is about good multi-functional places and efficient use of resources as well as howw e perceive the place
This is too narrowly focused on formal and stylistic issues to even begin to question any architectural values, what about the people who uses it, the supply chain, its mono-programme, its impact on cities etc?
To put Supermarkets and Architecture in the same basket is a fucking joke! Sorry for the pun! There is no artistic merit in a fucking shop at all!! I hate what tesco sainsbury etc have done!
@ChristopherJManess No way I'd prefer a few big superstores, I get frustrated in older smaller supermarkets, as there is many things they don't stock.
Well, maybe they could make them shorter in height, because here in the states we have huge buildings like Wal-Mart SuperCenters, but we don't need them to be so tall, because most of the open space wastes electricity and air-conditioning. Maybe if they kept the length, but took a bit of the height, because it's useless.
the one with Justine Frischmann is much better

Maybe if they made these supermarkets smaller in size, but more of them around, so people can feel comfortable and they would be convenient.
