  • Hehe I cant help but smile when tortoises eat, they eat so funny...

Like no gums or teeth, and they really do suck at eating >.<

  • i luv tortoises and turtles! they r ALOT faster than some people think! i also luv how they cant bite into round foods such as cherry tomatoes.... so cute!

  • shell is brutal..

  • Too cute!

  • She also likes to sleep in hay? and nibbles at it, and spinach and cress, maybe she just has a funny taste for tomatoes?

  • .....nothing more frustrating than watching a tortoise eat!!!!!

  • My tortoise eats like yours. It's pretty funny

  • How much did he cost ya?

  • such a creepy shell... lol

  • i got a tortise in tunisia. i have him for about 4 years now. he is about 5-6 inches long now. when i got him he was the size of a golfball. i've tried loads of different food and calcium but he will only eat iceburg lettuce. i have in in a tank 3ft long 1.5 ft wide. he looks like yours but not nearly as big. the weather in ireland doesnt allow to let him outdoors. should i build bigger tank?

  • What you need to do is starve it. Iceburg lettuce does exactly nothing for sulcatas as it's mostly water, but it tastes good. It won't die from a few days of starvation, these aren't childrens. They starve for days out in the wild and still survive. Starve it for a few days and it'll start eating hay. It sounds cruel, but these are wild animals.

  • looked at a few sites and tried rose petals, water cress and baby spinach. he is eating these, ill try the old starvation, cheers.

  • My mom used to own one of these. But it got a handfull so we sold it back to the pet store. It had a good 2 months with it though.

  • i hope it doesnt eat cucumber all the time

  • hey schollz, i sit middle row, right side, next to Tyler in 7th Period. There are two Tyler's in 7th period, i'll let you figure it out.

  • I hope that pyramiding is fixed.

  • aww lol tortises or turtls cant ever eat round veggies or fruits without help!

  • My best guess is she is 16 years old.

  • How about you post a video of your sulcata with the perfect shell. Lets see the proof that hay makes a round shell instead of just quoting misinformed websites.

  • thank u pyramyding isnt even that bad thankyou for understanding torts

  • Amen, I am sick of article reading know nothing judgmental people.

  • Her shell had the pyramids when I got this turtoise 2 years ago. Her shell has rounded out a lot compared to what it was. She is happy, healthy and friendly. She feeds on grasses mainly but gets treats once in a while.

  • My Sulcata's only a year old and about the size of my hand. How old is yours?

  • We belive it is 16
