i have windows 7 on my pc and i rly have to say i was disapointed ints like windows vista just it can be alot more confusing when downloading u have to go through your files usualy extract folders and all that stuff i have to say for recommended windows id go xp prol or vista
Can anyone please tell me how to get rid of the oil finger mark on the keyboard? i tried almost all cleaning wipes, but doesn't get rid of it. Actually, it happens to any thinpad, not just t60. This is the one and only thing i dont like bout thinkpad. Evrything else... it's perfect.
Actually, what you're seeing on keys that look like oil finger mark is actually wear and tear on the key. The material it's comprised of is rigid. Over a period of time, your fingers rub the keys and wear them down, thus turning it into a smooth plastic surface. The only way to fix that is to replace the keyboard.
Yeah replace the keyboard. It is fairly cheap and easy to get a new one online. I replaced my keyboard a few times over the years for as little as $19 each time and I usually sell my old one off on eBay for almost as much.
Just got the R61i, which is essentially a T61, with more plastic instead of a magnesium enclosure. Still, it has a great build quality, keyboard and performance. I can get to almost 8 hours of battery life with the 9-cell battery, which is really incredible! Simply the best Laptops out there, no other vendor can compete with such a rugged and reliable device.
oh,thank you very much:) i have go to see laptop again today,i saw dell is cheaper and also with good quality,i dont know which one is better for designer;)
Water can damage the unit if its poured in the touchad area. It has to be poured only on the keyboard itself. The keyboard is rust proof and has no current or charges running through it. Touchpad does. Trust me I tried everything with the Thinkpad T60. I even stood on it and I am 200 lbs. the lcd didn't even touch the keyboard.
hahaha on woot for 219.99 + 5 dollar shipping w/ docking station
