Nice version and thanks for the upload - but this is definitely not the Kingston Trio, though they were in fact the second American group to record it (after Pete Seeger and the Weavers). The Trio accompanied themselves on guitars and banjo; their only recording was live from the hungry i night club in SF; this arrangement uses the structure and the lyrics of the Tokens' version.
i made this clip entirely from emails that my brother has sent to me as a bit of a joke, the kid on the bike is doing a rather impressive "doughnut" and i thought his energy should be complimented, however you are right ... it does come across as somewhat confusing! thank you for your comment and for watching, icparker.
