After the first few seconds his speed would make him a blur to anyone looking out the windows. Who's got the calculation on a free falling body from a height of 321 metres?

@zippyman818 I got 288 kph using an accel due to grav of 10 m/s^2 (because I'm lazy,) so the math looks right, but this discounts wind resistance, the formula for which I have no idea and imagine is much less pleasant than integrating a=10 -> d=5t^2+c. (or however that should be properly notated, god it's been close to a decade since I've actually *had* to use calculus.)

@RamadaArtist If you solve for the derivative, then shouldn't you be left with a simple equation? Skydivers have some useful calculators and BASE-jumpers certainly. I used Karl's Calculus (dot) org and rounded my answers. Of course, the prevailing winds play tricks around the sides of that building given the odd shape and unique wind vortices.

@zippyman818 As I understand it (which is to say, not very well) the equation for air resistance is radically different for any given object, and is obviously further complicated by changes in orientation and positioning (cross-sectional density changes and all sorts of fun stuff like that, which is fine if you're calculating the ballistic performance of an ideal sears-haack body, and I can't even begin to do that) throughout the fall. There's probably an approximation, but I don't know it.

The idea of the ad is nice... but it does NOT do justice to Burj Al Arab. What stood out for me over and above the facility itself was the staff and the service they provided. The attention to detail ...

I expected a lot more from this Ad - this one was just Ordinary.
