@alexkkowalski This was a friend of mine, he was wearing climbing shoes at the time and I'm sure aided in breaking just his calcaneous which was luckily the only thing broken in the fall.
I broke mine Right foot Calcaneum during boudering, not much height drop maybe 3 or 4 meters( probably around your height of drop). But I landed with legs straight. Unable to roll to break my fall, just use both feet for landing. Fracture have been ruled out for left leg, thank goodness. 6 weeks on wheelchair and now on crutches. Best of wishes to you and all similar cases :)
I shattered both my heels beyond belief. The left needed 11 screws and got infected twice. Doc said I would need a cane but now I run 150 miles a month and they're like 7 minute miles.
Wow Adam just saw this vid. Gabe did a good job of landing that on his feet at least. creepy, I always thought he was solid 100% on those handstands, i guess not, more to it when your up on a uneven boulder I guess.
Last year October i broke my right calcaneum falling off a bridge, I am about 8 months post surgery and am running like i used to, still have some pain but it is very manageable. The doc didnt wait to let the swelling go down,i was in surgery, less than a week after my fall. I know your pain, watching the fall makes me cringe everytime cause i know what its like!
had a CT scan and the orthopedic surgeons say I've got a broken calcaneus bone (heal bone). Normally they want to wait 2-3 weeks for swelling to go down before operating. Then you can't put any weight on it for another 3 months!!
dude , i crushed both of mine simultaneously when i fell off a cliff ledge - 33ft , specialist says im lucky to be alive - but , 6 weeks in hospital ( 2 weeks to allow for swelling to go away before the op ) 3 & half months in a friggin wheelchair and then another 3 months learning how to walk again was fucked , i have permanent metal work in both my heals and am still in agonising pain 7 years later . . . i hope yours works out well my friend . . .
he deserves that....................... LOL

why do a hand stand at the edge of the rock when you obviously suck at it. It's messed up to say it like that, but you were irresponsible
