my family ALWAYS has christmas eve at my house, well, it used to be my mom's when we still lived in the same house, but now, it takes place at my house, we have a GIANT table spread that lasts about 4-5 hours, we start at around 5 in the afternoon..we have a multiple variety of starters, then a HUGE dinner usually, consists of turkey, potatoes, noodles, rice, veggies, fish & other seafood, and then desserts and we eat, and talk and play games until 12am, and then we open gifts.

Every 23rd my family and I literally camp out a store to buy "masa" to make tamales We leave at about 2am, come back at 6am and start making them. Hello! The tradition in my family has actually gone to the wayside since my parents passed away. I am the youngest in my family so my bros and sis kind of orchestrate everything but I remember my family would make sure to put up a Christmas tree TOGETHER with all our childhood ornaments and some new ones, and we would each open one present on Christmas Eve. Since my parents died, nobody has bothered to get a tree, which is sad! I would get one but i dont have any $, im in school. Maybe next yr!
