BTW, the BMW has a 2.3L engine compared to the TTs 1.8L. It might weigh more but it also has more torque.

Audi had some balls to build the TT while BMW are too conservative to actually design something good looking.

Whats your point? Take a look at the weight of the bmw. An empty 523i weighs more than the audi with two people in it.

It is the power ratio - weight/HP. Adding one person to the TT is more %-wise compared to the 523. On the extreme: compare one more passenger to an F1 car vs. one more passenger on a bus. While the F1 acceleration would be cut probably in half, the bus will not even feel it.

Anyway. those drag races do not prove anything - the real test is on the track where the dynamics of the entire car matter.

@Matt5bm Moreover being 6cyls it has a longer curve, the couple takes blasts in 4th and 5th gears and accelerates way longer and reaches higher speeds, its 2 different cars altogether. With the bmw you can then keep up that pace for thousands of miles, can you do that whit the TT?

DJiceypoptart, please dont comment unless you actually know what you are talking about. The TT doesnt come with a 3.6L turbo. It comes with 3 1.8T varients and a 3.2L(not turbo). The 1.8T and its factory turbo isnt designed to make horsepower. Its a small turbo soley to make more torque off the line. If you want to watch a real 3.2 TT (with a turbo)...search for gottzilla
