I was born and brought up in Lowestoft in the 1950's and early 60's. My dad served at Europa, Sparrows Nest as a Lt in the RNPS 1941-47.

However this once nice little town has been ruined for decades by self serving and parochial councillors and a Town council who ignored lesser mortals and did not promote the place . Now it is a backwater without much going for it. Britten was born here. How many people know that? Not a lot. And the Town fathers could not care less.
