Ruggs, my callsign in my first tour was White 23 Delta. And realize this... there is right and wrong in the US Army. We sign away our lives to duty, but also to honor, respect, loyalty, selfless sacrifice and personal courage. The fact that we are facing cowardly terrorists who will never show their faces except in short ambushes is the only reason this war has lasted. Also, the Iraqi people are not totally to blame... Syrians and Iranians have come into the country to be terrorists as well.

I would remind folks that the Iraqi people, once given the opportunity to speak up against the terrorists, helped the U.S. Army and Marines and Special Forces to track down dozens, if not hundreds, of known bomb-makers and caches. Were there some who wanted revenge killing? Probably, but we're human, we aren't God, so we do as we are ordered to stay alive and to help each other.
