The idea that no man should like romantic comedies is ridiculous and illogical. On that same line of thought, men should have no interest in love, children... nature, happiness? Then, it could stand to reason that such 'real men' are not actually human! And thus, said 'real men' - the sports jocks and hardened war generals of the world - are indeed repressing their humanity... or else they're just making up for something ;)

@getchizzled No you misunderstood the movie. That part where he reads his obituary isn't him pretending his own death at all. His best friend writes them as a career and his way of reaching out to Jonathan is writing one for his own "death" as in like his death of giving up hope in being with Sarah and love in general. If you don't pick up on the little parts like that then you don't have enough appreciation or intelligence to enjoy the movie. Unfortunate for you cause it's the best!

it was 7 years ago not 3 years ago. 3 years was how long the clerk in the "tie" shop was working (36:40). when they were looking for the receipt carbon copy they said it was 7 years ago when she purchased the gloves. they traced it to mr. miñon (53:35) (forgive the spelling). who was her roomate at that time, he said sara lived with him and her boyfriend for a few months, & year after moved out of the city. i have a dvd copy at home, so i know. i love this movie. :) nice trailer!
