the bass was the best thing about this, because it was the only thing that reminded me that I was listening to a cover. I usually like covers, because it is fun to hear someone else interpret music that I have become familiar with. It is sort of lame to hear a cover version that tries desperately to merely mimic the source material. It would have been cool if you tried to change the tempo, arrangement, rhythm, style, vocals... anything. Ohwell. It sounds good enough. Almost like JT. Be original!

Great cover! Best I ever heard and I am a long time JT fan. I disagree with the previous comments on the bass playing. The tone of the bass was a great match to the original recording and it would not have "stood out" so much if the piano and keyboards were included in the tracks. JMO

Well, I definitely hear a keyboard/piano in there but not during the lead. Either way, it sounds great. Even if the bass is a little more pronounced than the original, it still is a very good version.

ok to be honest im not that impressed sorry guyes. cover should be one of two things: either an improvement of the song making it your own, make it some kind of different if u know what i mean, or just a remake of a rather poor first version from the original band. its extremely hard to top Tull. tho u are all great musicians, nothing wrong there, i just miss u giving it your own kind of touches... when u play it strait, i just kindo want to here the original. tho thanx for posting not bad!

I have to say this a great cover. I prefer Ian Anderson's voice but the singer pulled it off pretty nicely. I have to agree that the guitar is so nice, especially the solo. Also I like the bass line to aqualung (even though I think there was a bit too much in this recording.) Overall great job and goodluck.

In fact, the guitar and drums isn´t midi.

The drummer uses a Pearl;

the bassist uses a Bass Collection in line; and I, the guitarrist, uses a Samick Guitar with a JCM 900 Marshall.

Perhaps the mix turned the song a little artificial.

That's a fucking good job! Drims don't sound midi to me no quantizing. They could have been played in manually but sounds like a kit and definately a bass dI'd into the thing. Gat's sound real. Vocals are great. Awesome job man! I've found that it's good to try and recreate stuff (I'm in the process of doign that with a rerecording of Dark side of the moon). It inspires you with ideasfor your original stuff too. Good work!
