Then Bush called for a "Home Ownership Program" , who said everyone should be entitled to own a home. This created a housing boom to try saving the economy after the dotcom bubble. Didnt work long term, did it ?

Obama DID inherit a big problem, but here are some solutions: 1. Start cutting the salaries of the senate and congress members and other government officials as well as their benefits and retirement benefits. 2. Cut his own salary and benefits. 3. STOP spending money we don't have. 4. Pull out of Iraq. 5. Pull out of every OTHER country that has US occupation. 6. Get rid of the federal reserve. Those sound like more logical solutions, don't you think?

The Tea Party's were about the expansion of Gov't and the bailouts of billioaires while ordinary Americans are struggling to make ends meet. Blame goes to both Republicans and Democrats.

People keep talking about "where was the outrage during Bush's administration?" Fact is, the deficit was going DOWN until the housing bubble burst (due to actions of Dems forcing banks to give loans to those who couldn't possibly pay them back!) and the subsequent economic tank.
People are pissed at both Dems and Republicans. Dems because their policies tend to take people's money and Republicans because they forgot a basic component of their ideology... fiscal conservatism.

We had yearly surplus from 1998 until 2001 and the deficit never went down since. The housing bubble. In 1999 a Republican majority congress with Clinton repealed the Glass-Steagall act from 1933 which help create the housing bubble by elimating oversight and accounting rules. Then Bush called for a "Home Ownership Program" , who said everyone should be entitled to own a home. This created a housing boom to try saving the economy after the dotcom bubble. Didnt work long term, did it ?

the CRA was passed in 1977 . Are you saying this took 30yrs to kick in. CRA helped but was not a direct cause of the late 90's to mid-2000's housing boom. Repealing the Glass-Steagall act and Bush's Home Ownership Society Program had more of an impact in the latest housing boom and bust.
