  • with a harley !

  • ok, felicidades cops, me gustaria ser como ustedes, yo manejo una 750 suzuki, pero me falta mucho para ser como ustedes,

  • To this on any motor cycle in in low gear, on a large bick is diffcult. To this on a fully equipped POlice motorcycle is very hard... to this on a Heavy equiped Harley is dam impressive...

  • very impressive. This is real riding.

  • buenisimo

  • the police in japan on the vfr make them guys look bad

  • anything faster than 100mph can't be chased by those HD, plus it can't pass between 2 cars

  • @tirapelli Ya can't outrun a radio though!!!!

  • @l1bikr

ya you can. the radio is not some magical device that flies around catching bad people.

  • @hedkandi999 Uh, the radio goes at the speed of light. You LITERALLY cannot outrun the radio.

  • @tirapelli man ur crazy these bikes will both do 100 easy if not 140 to 160 and yes these 2 bikes will both fit in between 2 cars they r only about 2 and a half to 3 feet wide alot smaller than a car and both these cops can ride well enough to keep up with a crotch rocket in tight situation and both these cops can ride 10 times as good as u or i ever thought about riding

  • @tirapelli This is an often brought up but moot point. Most police departments don't condone chases at 100 miles per hour or above. Sometimes their limit is less. Their point being that at those speeds, the officers life is in danger as is the rider being chased and the general public.

  • wow that really sucked... HARleys? thats also a horrible choice for police bikes. Please learn from the japanese.

  • As I said on a previous comment on another video, I was feeling pretty special for taking my motorcycle test on my Honda Goldwing but every single one of these men and women officers are ten times better on a bad day than I'll ever be. Watch out for all the knuckleheads, officers - and thank you for keeping the roads safe for us.

  • I think this video demonstrates how well trained these officers are and I been riding a Harley for 10 plus years and it is not easy to run that course. Most riders fail Ca DMV test without experience

  • @bozmo2 Most riders fail the CA DMV test? Is that true? Wow.

I just took the MSF in PA. One of the guys taking the class was an old dude who'd been riding for years. He couldn't u-turn for shit. I was amazed.

  • VERY!!!

  • that was incredible... if you listen they barely ever scrape asphalt! for heavy bikes with unforgiving centers of gravity at THAT slow of speed and THAT close to one another? oh yeah.... they are good. this was impressive for sure!

  • Excellent !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • damn.....

  • wow that was amazing!

  • Imagine what they could do on a bike that really handled!

  • @Yessong1 what do you mean by "handled"? All motorcycles have two wheels--what exactly would make one bike "handle" better than another? They're not cars.

  • @greg5566 You must be kidding me - every bike "Handles" differently. Ride my HD Springer and then get on my Victory - it's freakin night and day. How easily does the bike lean into turns...how balenced is it, how does it take a quick stop, and a myriad of other variables will determine handling on a bike. Frame design, suspension, seating position, tires, engine they all work together to give you a feel

  • That's some good riding especially on a heavy cruiser.

  • quite a bit of skill involved there.

  • good job!

  • SuX hehe watch this /watch?v=bWaq0zOaAVU

  • come on what ya sleep with the damn bike and is your wife pissed that you spend more time with the bike then her

  • pretty gay !

  • aha indeed

  • auhuehuhauhsu....

  • blue angels of motorcycles??

  • tight ride...

  • very nice job for cops on shitty bikes

  • That's like synchronized swimming, only with motorcycle helmets instead of swimming caps. LOL

  • Screw you, those cops gotta deal with fags like you I would want to have a little fun too.

  • pigs using our tax money for a GREAT use...

  • Might want to get your facts straight before being completely ignorant.

And for the record, the "pig" comments don't even bother most cops. It just shows how ingorant/immature/pathetic people can be. It's pretty sad actually.

  • @McAwesome57 Wouldn't getting your facts straight negate being completely ignorant? It seems like if I want to be completely ignorant, getting my facts straight would be a really bad idea!

  • my tax money,,,,,,,,

  • swine having fun at our expense

  • @zombie1469 I don't understand--would you rather your tax money go toward training them to ride well, or their medical bills when they crash?

  • Sweet, just wish SPPD let city employees who ride get a day free training with the officers, i try to emulate, being an advanced rider, but wish i had the bucks to go through the training, i have driven almost every road truck, and owned several bikes, but still feel there is something else to master here! great wrk. Officers, RIP my old friend F.Foster, SPPD ret./Army Vet ret. and to my first Hero, Uncle J.James LAPD ret.

  • You see the cord between the saddle bags: if they pull it apart they are disqualified

  • look at the japanese police men ,what they do with their motorcycles.....!!!!!

  • I have seen them but they use much lighter bikes.

  • yeah ,you are right,I coudn't even do this with a bycicle together with a friend, but the japanese police go so fast and ....anyway they are brilliant drivers,in Belgium the police use Bmw,it is amazing ,under any weather condition, how they use these motors(wich doesn't look small or light,)they rock!!!!!(hmm not if they give ya a parking ticket)

  • I was amazed watching this. I hadn't even imagined that anyone could ride such a course with two bikes that close together. Great video!

  • yet another time you can tell why these guys were hired, i wonder how long it took these guys to get that good

  • why do the american police ride shitty bikes with no handling or speed at all?

  • maybe because any FOOL can ride a bike fast in a straight line. it takes real skill to do what you just witnessed on a big cruiser. and they ride BIG bikes for the obvious safety reasons.

  • look japanese police!!

  • @myrryxmas How are big bikes safer? (I'm asking seriously, not challenging you.)

  • @greg5566 simple... the bigger the bike, the more likely it is to be seen by other motorists... and not only that, bigger bikes don't react as suddenly to passing trucks and cars as smaller bikes. my triumph rocket 3 weighs just over 800 lbs. and i barely notice the turbulence when being passed. on my 500 lb sportster, i'd have to fight with it to keep it in my lane.

p.s. - re your comment to CleverDjembe: remember the TV show "pacific blue"?

  • @myrryxmas Right. I thought you were going to say, and this must be true too, that a bigger bike wouldn't go flying like a smaller bike if it was hit. The downside of that is that if it rolls over you it might hurt more.

I have never even HEARD of Pacific Blue! But of course I remember CHiPs!

  • @greg5566 actually, if you're on a motorcycle that makes physical contact with another moving vehicle, the size of the bike won't matter much... you're toast! the size advantage helps (a little) to avoid getting hit in the first place.

  • Because those bikes have authority, who wants to be pulled over by a bike that sounds like a dirt bike?

  • Good point, LOL!

Actually someone should make a comedy skit where that happens. It'd be so funny to watch... or it could be like candid camera, just filming the reactions of the people who were stopped :D

  • @CleverDjembe haha, just look at cops on bicycles and wearing shorts!

  • They have big nut syndrome. They would rathe ride a Harley and feel all manly than ride a bike that has way more function.

These two ride well, but would acomplish more and be more effective in their daily jobs on a BMW or a Honda.

  • @Towndrunk26er as if they can choose what their department buys for them to ride...

  • @runhot0576 I am sure they officers do have input into what they would like to ride. Considering Japanese bikes are much cheaper to buy and maintain it wouldn't surprise me if their respective departments were receptive to changing the brands , especially in these times of cutbacks and budgets shortfalls.

  • @Towndrunk26er LEO ride what the department they work for says they ride. PERIOD. Many times the economics determine the brand and model that is selected. Will a crotch rocket outrun a HD, Yup, every time it will. Is it a good choice for police work. Not always. A crotch rocket will accelerate and hit high speeds quickly, but don't have the torque the V-twin bikes have and with all the equipment they are required to carry they need the torque. Honda & BMW do have excellent police bikes too

  • @mark7seven In most cases if not all motor officer are traffic officers. I don't know what "equipment" it is that you speak of but to me they would need a radar gun, rain gear, flares, their ticket book and of course thiir lunch. I don't how much torque you think is required to haul that much stuff around but it ain't that much. All the lighting equipment and sirens now being electronic are very lightweight so your arguement is mute there also. Calif. Hwy. Patrol has vids on here with Hondas.

  • Feels like Im watching the Blue angels or Thunderbirds, every time I see its its awesome.

  • Thans alot. I look at these exercises as real important to my skill set. I read somehere that a median speed for most bike fatalities is 26 mph. That could be busy trafic and you loose your balance and a car can squash you like a grape. I got to pick up some cones, now I just do circles in both directions. Any other suggestions of good stuff to practice.much thanks

    dan

  • who cares if they are cops or painters, they have skill and being in controll of your machine can save your ass

  • Hey guys, do you hold the clutch at all in the middle (slowest part ) of the turn, or do you ride the bike at idle speed and just go...without holding the clutch in. Im finding to learn the right "form". I know other sports get the form right and speed will come. I actually practice this stuff alot on a big parking lot in back my house. Is this stuff allot of work on my clutch? It might be worth it, I am already better, in traffic and weird slow lights, I don't have to put my foot down

  • Yes, clutch slippage is a must for these sorts of maneuvers.

  • good stuff

  • Good riding on rubbish motorcycles. Check out the Japanese police videos for even more skill.

  • How dare when one criticize your fellow American workers(who are probably unemployed due to the economy crises) for producing the finest Harley Davidson motorcyle when the motorcycle is an all- American product? Traitor!! I thought the Harley Davidson motorcycle is the best USA made product!

  • This coming from someone with a sign in name of Mr Bill Oh No... I mean seriously come on seriously, and you call us gay. How bout just admit you wake up everyday look in the mirror and say I hate my life.

  • Yes that's nice and pretty gay !

  • Nice but would it be realy usefull on a crowded downtown?

  • Absolutely, do you think these guys have problems pulling a u-turn in rush hour traffic or narrow street?

  • yeah that nice, harlies um are a garbage bike. bwahahahahah

  • Your name is TheByrdFlu and your calling this gay??? Come on seriously....

  • You used the wrong "your". Should have been you're. Harleys are getting phased out by Honda, BMW, and even Suzuki. The days of Ponch and Baker are over. Oh, and yes, this is pretty gay.

  • ppl want more supersports models and less heavy rig bikes. whats the point, just get a truck then

  • @TheByrdFlu FWI, "Ponch" rode a Kawasaki.......

  • @mark7seven cool story bro

  • Great!

  • ju gotta have skills

  • amazing skill!!!!!!!!! respect!!!

  • uh, you can't set the valves on a Harley big twin, they are hydraulic lifters.

  • I bet neither of you will be laughing when your guys or your families need one of those "idiot" cops to help your loved ones in an emergency and their bike breaks down... Just how hard would you be laughing then?

  • this vid would be perfect with "waltz of the flowers" playing in the back groud, its a cute little routine they have

  • Amazing. I need to practice.

    "Any idiot can ride fast."

  • お見事!

  • it's a demonstration of skill. if they can make tight turns like that so close to each other, I think I would trust them to navigate traffic situations while in pursuit. Like my MSF instuctor told me; "Any idiot can ride fast."

  • @whiskeywilliams ur instructor told u a very EXPENSIVE thing that any Idiot can drive fast!! my father also told me that Driving only fast is not driving but driving in CONTROL is driving!! !!

  • that was sweeeet

  • The bike makes it look better than it is as the centre of gravity on those hulks are so low... you could almost stand it up by leaning it on its pipes. True test... try it on a Pan or Beamer..

  • stand the bike up on pipes? couldn't you break your cylinders like that.?

  • Respect their some big Muthas to ride tight .

  • Very good, endeed

  • nice ,

  • Nice but the Japanese motorcycle cop comp is more impresive you gotta see them on the course.

  • V good indeed

  • r.i.p evel knievel

  • which ones evel on?

  • @7775carlg Do you know where evel knievel got his name? He was in jail with a guy named Awful Knoffel.

I don't know if that is true, but it's my all-time favorite story.

  • Looked pretty good to me.

  • Check out ppmsc net for results of this rodeo. This is the Charleston County SC Motor Squad.

  • Very tight partners, especially on the return 2nd cone roundabout! You can hear the comments. But they broke their tether before crossing the finish line, so should be disqualified for that run! Try again, coppers!
