  • hey shannon geuss wh we just killed? the broncos and the ravens, here we come SB

  • @iplayfootball72 Still holding a grudge? LOL Pathetic.

  • Jimmy graham and rob gronkowski if healthy for the rest of there careers can challenge sharpes record of yards and catches...

  • @zmansushi You mean they can challenge Tony Gonzales records.

  • oh and did i forget shannon's 3 superbowl championships to Tony Gonzales's goose egg 0 :)

  • @shawneepuppy he will retire with zero also

  • Tony Gonzalez doesnt compare to Shannon Sharpe go BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!

  • @shawneepuppy The Broncos suck.They need a reciever.

  • tony gonzalez doesnt compare to shannon sharpe

  • six fave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Tony Gonzales > Shannon Sharpe

  • @revengeofbutthead TrueTony has Shannon beat in every stat and accomplishment.

But SS has those super bowl rings though, think about that.

  • Chad Ochowho?

  • word.... shannon and cris carter need to be HOF pronto

  • @hatchman213 shannon is in

  • weird he didn't get picked higher, his brother is frigging Sterling Sharpe!

  • @Filipjphry that wuz just more fire for him to use

  • Get this man into the HOF. NOW!

  • @GoLeafsGo6712 he is in the hof

  • True story violeneteacher6669. Being inducted this summer. Still, should have got in the first time. I don't care how good the class was.

  • S S U.. Savannah State University. That a way rep Sav St

  • Antonio Gates will be remebered as a steal just like Sharpe..... I think Gates wasnt even drafted and signed as a rookie free agent if im not mistaken?.....

  • well he's in the hof this year he made it

  • 0:07 wow.....I wish he started his career this year! That guy is fucking awesome!!!!!

  • Sharpe and TD BOTH need to be in the Hall

  • Shannon Sharpe was fantastic! Best TE in football history! He was a beast! 3 Superbowl rings too! Why is he not in the HOF yet? I don't get it!

  • @DamienColletti he's currently a finalist for the HOF, lets keep or fingers crossed.

  • @grinchnm - Yup and he better get in!

  • we need the national gaurd were KILLING The Pats

  • Good trash talker and a great player

  • haha love his first line

  • @ochocincoTO classic

  • Tony Gonzalez from the red hot 12-2 Atlanta Falcons has broken shannon sharpe's T.E.(Tight End) records

  • Shannon should of been in the top 100.

  • 0:07-0:13- LOL

  • funny how most of greatest nfl players MOST came from small colleges

  • 0:36, middle finger lol.

  • @Selvester777 Wow..How the hell did you see that?! lol!

  • I support Shannon Sharpe and by Faith the allegation will be dropped and received Hall of Famer. Shannon deserves it !!

  • Sharpe changed TEs. When he came in, TEs were for edge blocking. Sharpe stretched the field and suddenly receiving TEs became all the buzz. Look at how many teams today rely on their TEs more for receiving than blocking.

  • @ZhangtheGreat So Sterling Sharpe wasn't used on passing plays? Even though they showed him

  • @Santana2163, Sterling was a WR, not a TE.

  • @ZhangtheGreat I wouldn't tell that to Kellen Winslow.

  • @ZhangtheGreat So, not Kellen Winslow?

  • @hart7668, it took off with Sharpe. Winslow was really someone who was ahead of his time in terms of playing the TE position differently, but as Sharpe said, in 1990, most teams were still looking for blocking TEs. I consider Winslow the Sammy Baugh of TEs: a superstar receiving TE before the league had superstar receiving TEs.

  • SHARPE WAS GREAT!

  • Tony Gonzalez > Shannon Sharpe

    Antonio Gates????WTF

  • Antonio Gates will be the best tight end off all time at the end of his career.

  • lol ahaha we are killin the patriots even though there my fav

  • "we are killing the patriots" ha ha ha.

  • It must b great to be a badass player and just talk shit galore!! no one can tell u shit... ur simply the best.

  • Heavy weight champion of the wooooooorld !!!!!

  • "Help is on the way" CLASSIC

  • Sharpe was really the only guy that talked trash and people really laughed. Plus, he can back it up.

  • Down goes frasier

  • Ill call the president. President we need as many men as you can get down here cuz we are killing the patriots

  • Shannon Sharpe had great hands, was fast, strong,& could outrun nearly all linebackers & many corners. Bumps did not trouble him, & he adjusted well to the flight of the ball. He created matchup problems for defense because he was too big & physical for DBs & too fast for LBS. He got into his routes quickly & separated out of his cuts, had soft hands & made smooth adjustments to off-target passes. He was a strong runner after the catch and was a unique player who was built like a son of a gun.

  • @plntntvzn Lol, he revolutionized the way the position is played... he took Kellen Winslow Sr. and made him look old school. That alone should cement his place in the history books =)

  • FOOTBALL!!

  • I really loved those 2 Bronco superbowl teams because of players like Elway, Atwater, Terrell Davis, Sharpe.

  • 2:54 - 3:04 = BLASPHEMY!!! Put the Orange & Blue back on that man!

  • shannon sharpe rocks

    best TE ever

  • Who the hell is that retard at 1:00 pretending like he would've known better than people who overlooked Shannon? His voice annoys the crap outta me.

  • That retard is Adam Schefter....probably the most knowledgeable NFL insider in the business.

  • shannon all the way

    from my hometown Chicago

  • I heard that some people had a second round grade on Sharpe that year. He probably fell too far. But, I am glad that we got him. One of the best three or four tight ends of all-time, probably only behind Winslow, Sr, John Mackey, and maybe Iron Mike.

  • Uh Tony Gonzales?

  • favorite te of all time. huge broncos fan

  • he belongs into the HOF!!!!!

  • See that's what all these so called "NFL scouts and coaches" need to realize. It doesn't matter what college you played football at, at the end of the day Football is Football, rather its D-1 or D-1AA.

  • Thats really good point, to further evaluate on this, it doesnt matter if you went to Michigan or Michigan agricultural wet rock AM. Its still a huge leap at the NFL level, give em a chance.

  • Savannah State was a d-2 school when sharpe played for them...but yeah the NFL scouts and coaches might want to start looking at these small d-2 hell even maybe d-3 schools, they will probably find some incredible talents

  • President we need the national guard we need as many men as you can spare cause we are killin the patriots lmfao.

  • Call him a fkng horse call him this hate on him fine great blah blah fkng blah just dont ever say he wasnt the best and the hardest hitting to play the position of tight end..My mans was soild

  • he is funny as hell lol

  • The man is half horse

  • He should have walked into the Hall of Fame. I think him and Cris Carter both should have been first ballot Hall of Famers, but both were robbed.

  • yes dude, i can't agree more. I don't know what the fuck those voters are thinking leaving those two out.

  • Carter didn't get in because Art Monk had this enormous campaign to get him in and the committee probably didn't want to put in two wide receivers.

Sharpe just happened to be in a crowded year. He will get in, I promise you. It doesn't matter how long it takes really except in our minds. Once he makes it, he's made it.

  • Yeah it does. He's the greatest TE of all-time.

  • My boy big play Shay! He got fuck'n screwed outta the HOF! What is it with the Hall and hating on our boys????????

  • He'll get in dude. Don't worry about that. It was just a crowded year this year. He'll get in, I promise!

  • Hope you right man cuz thats fucked up yo!

  • I know I'm right. I'm a sportswriter dude. Its my job to know this stuff. Think about from this point of view. From the POV of a neutral guy.

I got Joe Montana, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Walter Payton, and lets say, Jerry Rice all up for induction at the same time. You can only put 5 guys in. Which of those 6 is not going to make it?

All of them are HOFs, but one has to be left out. Sharpe just happened to be the odd man out. If he's not in by 2012, then start worrying.

  • would you say lc greenwood is going to make it. i think so, but your the professional.

  • He probably won't. He's made the finalist list many times but he just can't get over the top.

Probably what hurts him in some voters minds is the fact that the Steelers have 9 HOFs from that team and they ask themselves, "How many HOFs could this team possibly have?"

  • That's a straw man argument--none of those players are coming up for induction at the same time. Compare him in terms of what he did for his position to the other players that got in last year. He took Kellen Winslow and made him look old-school.

  • Again, Bob Hayes, Randall McDaniel, Bruce Smith, Derrick Thomas, Ralph Wilson, and Rod Woodson.

Who can you take out of the HOF? Other than Wilson?

  • I would have had Thomas in the 2008 HOF at least, replacing Tippet, who was good but not better than Thomas IMO, and put Sharpe there.

  • he did not walk into the hall of fame. its gonna be hell next year fro him too

  • hes a definite hall of famer

  • I hope he just rolls on in to the HOF.

  • Just to think that a 7th round pick changed the way we see a Tight End is awesome. He is the reason why people like Antonio Gates, Tony Gonzalez, Todd Heap, and Kellen Winslow Jr. are here today.

  • This guy reminds me of Marshall. Both of them have this swagger that makes them exciting. Hopefully we will see Marshall in the Top Ten Draft steals in 10 years.

  • Show us the rest of the countdown

  • Shannon Sharpe is better than tony gonzalez

  • @broncosfannick Shannon Sharpe is one of the greatest players in Football History.

  • @broncosfannick lol.....lol sad

  • @broncosfannick bullshit

  • @broncosfannick and antonio gates is better than Shannon Sharpe.

  • @broncosfannick You sir, are very intelligent.

  • @broncosfannick you got that right

  • ex all time leading tight end

  • Amen about Marshall. Maybe Ryan Torain will join them.

  • in 10 years we're gonna have to add Brandon Marshall on this list of top steals in the NFL Draft ever.

  • little early to be sayin that id say

  • i think not bro. hes the strongest, best YAC receiver in the NFL.. boldin is still better, but he doesnt have long speed. marshall is a jack of all trades. he can do it all, and take the ball the distance after every catch.

  • mike who?

  • He was devastated he didn't get the pass that put John over 50,000 yds. He did get John's 300th TD pass though.

  • Greatest trash talker ever!

  • probably one of the funniest dudes ever

  • "Mr. President, send the National Guard 'cause we are killing the Patriots! Help is on the way!"

  • Assuming we can understand what he is saying.

  • @bronc30td-

    No doubt bud!

My favorite quote of his was...

I wont make fun of somones girlfriend or mother... but a deformity, i will make fun of that =)

  • @bronc30td No. greatest trash talker ever was John Randle. But Sharpe could talk pretty good too

  • Great Player. One Of The Best

  • Imagine Sterling and Shannon on the same team
