Shannon Sharpe had great hands, was fast, strong,& could outrun nearly all linebackers & many corners. Bumps did not trouble him, & he adjusted well to the flight of the ball. He created matchup problems for defense because he was too big & physical for DBs & too fast for LBS. He got into his routes quickly & separated out of his cuts, had soft hands & made smooth adjustments to off-target passes. He was a strong runner after the catch and was a unique player who was built like a son of a gun.
