Sure, but remember, lighting and artistic sense will far outweigh the choice of camera. That said, the XL1s is a great video camera that gives you many options.

the xl2 is standard definition while the other two are high definition, so I guess that they are better on that aspect.

I think the XL2 simply because my clients are not in need of HD. Maybe in five years when everybody agrees on 1 format then go for HD. But for now very few have HDDVD players or Blue Ray so how do you expect to show your work besides plugging your camera to your TV or cramming everyone in your office around a computer monitor?

Hmmmm. I am just about to purchase a camera. I was studying the Canon XL2 for the longest time however I have decided on the HD Sony HVR-V1U. HD is starting to finally takeoff. I have mixed feelings.

I think these pictures are amazing! I recently purchased a XL2 and so far love the quality of pictures. I am using final cut pro to finish the look. i like what you achieved with premiere pro.

No, I worked on 50p (PAL), with cinema settings (color, contrast...) I used progresive mode before, editing video with premiere pro. Sorry, my english is very poor...

Yes youve made the XL2 look beautiful! Im an XL1 owner and still dig it. What are these settings you speak of? Looks like you've been wide open and chucked an ND filter on??

Thanks... The ND filter was of because there was low light. The menu settings were "cinema curve", that has more contrast.
