It is +1 octave because in the live he only has a whammy thats set at +1

and that how every 1 elce plays it xD

@Nerka131 actually matt has it set to the harmonizer oct +1 and -1 thats why during the verse you hear three octaves matt's guitar (2) and chris' bass (1)

it doesnt even sound anything at all shifted up and nor does anyone else that has a cover use their whammy pedal for the chorus

no i do know what a wah pedal is, i was just wondering how the hell it refers to this song.

and i have watched him play it live, and he does have his foot on the whammy constantly pretty much, its on +1 -1, +1 for the chorus, and -1 or +1 for the verse depending on what he wants to do

@jrflemo No nevermind. I just dont want to use the digitech octave +1 in my cover. Not all covers HAVE to be spot on with effects and riffs when being played thats why their called covers for who evers making them add their own taste to it. I didnt like how it sounded with the pitch shifter on so i just used the dive bomb setting instead
