@integralfrom0to1 I remember having this problem when I got my first digital camera, an Olympus C2000Z, and tried to photograph various tubes in operation. This was also true with electric heating elements. They appeared lavendar instead of orange! I too, attributed the artifact to IR sensitivity.
The plates of these tubes turn red hot during use. It's completely normal for this type of tube. (3C24 / 24-G) They're not being over-run and the video isn't over exposed.
Transistors only took over because they are small, reliable, and use less power. They don't sound better, though they can come close to perfect reproduction. Tubes add a distortion that is pleasant to the ear while a transistor has an ugly and cold distortion in the worst cases. I'd rather play my guitar through tubes, but listen to CD's through transistors because of the warm sound and near-perfect reproduction capability reasons, respectably.
I really like the looks of your amps. Or are you not the builder? I have seen the website with all of them listed and they look stunning, always! My compliments!!!
because i heard a TOP TOP flight valve amp n also i have two chinese CDPs a shanling n an MHZS 33 i bought a cheap chinese tube amp very well build with massive tranformers BUT 60s radiogram sound now iknow even the chinese cannot build a top notch tube amp for under £300 including postage but spend £1000 on a chinese valve amp n it MUST be excellent

I'd get rid of the ECL82 as it is pentode. Use 5687 and 6SN7.
3Deity 8 months ago
@3Deity
you need a chunky tube to drive those big 'uns....a 6sn7 would melt beside that monster!
donnyab 6 months ago
@donnyab No it wouldn't. I work for Audio Note, we use them all the time.

はじめまして。いい音ですね。トリタンの真空管の成せる技ですが、その原理はいまだに謎です。いつの日か解明されるでしょう。

The output valves are lit up like light bulbs.... surely something is being over run?
listener85 1 year ago
@listener85 Probably badly overexposed video. Tube glow is difficult for amateur video and photographers to capture properly.

@basspig CCDs are very sensitive to IR, gives them very false colors

Nice choice of everything:
music
transmitter tubes as audio amplifiers
buck the system.
Well done.

Well done. Great choice of music also. Nice to look at as well and I love the use of a transmitter valve/tube instead of the regular 6L6/6V6.
Nice glow! :o)

It is a stereo. It is a single amplifier.
