  • What are the lengths of your cuts?

  • @TheBeastOfTheBible Wish I could tell you - I made this several years ago and right now it's at my parents' house, a few hundred km away. I really didn't have a great plan for building it, I just went and measured those existing chairs, took some pictures of how they were put together, and sort of figured it out. All things considered I'm lucky it turned out so well.

  • TOTALLY AWESOME!!! i am just about to make log ski lounge chairs. did you wrap the ski with duck tape before you cross cut on the table saw? what did you use to join the skis together? screws, glue, clamps? if you have any other useful info i'd be glad to hear it.

  • I didn't wrap them although that might have been a good idea, because some of the cuts resulted in giant spark showers. I'd reccoment NOT wearing a t-shirt, like I did.

To join them together I drilled holes in them and then bolted them, no glue or clamps.

    Good luck with your project!

  • You should put the skis on the bottom. Where you can ski on them.

  • That chair is awesome! Do you have a copy of your measurements and directions to build one?

  • No I don't think so, sorry..i built it like 2 years ago. I just measured existing chairs and sketched them and sort of figured it out myself.

  • that's a sweet project; i have to do a personal project too; i'm making a surfboard

  • Thanks, good luck
