  • Thank you Jesus Christ for your wonderful children that are playing music to honor You! This makes me happy!

  • Qualcosa di unico!! <3

  • is Mr Patitucci a christian?

  • @VinnasBR What difference does being or not being a Christian have to do with his music??? noda!

  • @MrBriandd57 Actually it has everything to do with his Christianity. Because he is a Christian, his music will last for eternity. While most others their music will end soon.

    Sad but true

  • @MrCopie77 You entitled to your opinion. Once, I would have said the very same thing. Christianity in general has become an exclusive club full of religious snobs. I love Phil Keaggy's music. I also love U2 and others artists without catagorizing them into a "box". Just sayin... Seems Phil Keaggy does not judge non-Christian performers either. He's jamming with some in this video!

  • @VinnasBR certainly!

  • Paul and the Pattuccis love John Patitucci...

  • No one ever answered the question regarding being the best guitarist by saying "Ask Phil Keaggy". All urban myth. Keaggy himself has said this many times. He doubts Hendrix even knew of him. That said, Phil Keaggy is without doubt one of the greatest guitarists around and has been for many many years. Couldn't care less if he's born again or not although one's spirituality certainly comes out in their art, regardless of what form, be it music, painting etc. Simply a joy to listen to.

  • this amazing not only is he playing. he also has an awesome testimony.

  • la wea fome y mala

  • You´re right, hessercb, Phil´s validation is in Christ in whom he as trusted as his Savior. I originated the comment for God´s glory, not for Phil´s and I´m sure Phil would agree.

  • It's annoying to hear Christians try and "stick up" for PK via Urban Myth. A combination of artists (Clapton, Hendrix, EVH, or Santa Claus) when asked how it feels to be the best guitar player in the world say, "I don't know ask Phil Keaggy"? Like Phil's someone that needs lame validation?? He walked away from the commercial music scene of the time. His choice....period. If the internet and YT were around in the 70s--different story. He was just way ahead of his time. PK is AMAZING!

  • jon e o cara sem comentarios

  • As a long-time fan of Phil, I hear his licks and melodic sense like the voice of an old friend, familiar but always a welcome sound. I love this setting of a trio with no drums. This is a real treat, and my thanks to whoever posted it. BTW, let's all say a prayer for the poor soul whose eyesight is failing so badly that they accidentally hit the dislike button :)

  • Just an amazing team... Thank you Lord for allowing us to see you through their music....

  • he's god gifted!!

  • Rumor has it that Eric Clapton was once asked, "who is the greatest guitarist in the world" and Eric said, "heck if I know, ask Phil Keaggy".

  • @rocanica55 Jimi Hendrix was asked that question not Clapton.

  • @rocanica55 I think that was Jimi Hendrix that said something like that that...

  • Phil Keaggy sounds a bit like Alan Hodsworth...graet musician.

  • I bow down before the Lord...... His gifts are amazing and these three demonstrate them well.

  • @texasfan1971

OoO kinda harsh...well yea......BOW DOWN INFADELs!!!!! lol

  • Beautiful !

  • SWEET!!!

     IS THERE MORE?

  • Phil is an incredible player and gets some of the best Les Paul tones I've ever heard. Those magic fingers...

  • Does Patitucci wear a condom when he peforms because he always looks like he's about to bust a nut.

  • Not only does Keaggy "play well with others," he plays better with others. I want a CD with this AND the "AMAZING guitar solo" RadarRadioDave posted!

  • one of the most beautiful pieces Keaggy has ever done!!!

  • wow im am sure surprised 2 c them 2geher unlickly combo but a very good 1

  • this is awesome... these are great musicians

  • Three sounding as one. Profound and beautiful.

  • This is purely beautiful musicianship on the highest level. Phil Keaggy is way to underrated for his talents.

  • love it!

  • Beautiful playing,God Bless!

  • Can i buy this somewhere? Seriously awesome stuff.

  • John Patitucci, is multi-talented!!!!

  • LOVE the music!!!

  • These Guys are some of the best guitarist ever!

  • phill controla el volumen como nadie

  • he's the first guitarist I've seen play a gibson les paul that way. interesting.

  • This makes me happy.

  • John Patitucci, thats missleading =D

  • @Nasty0suicide fuck you how dare you disrespect john patitucci youll never be on his level

  • @bigtham210 can't u have a little respect!!?? I get so tired of poeple thinking they've got to use the f*** word on these sites. GROW UP!!!!!!!!!

  • @Thugsta454 Read THIS!!! I will send you a personal message. I don't want too hear everyone's opinion on what I'm about to tell you!!!!!

  • this sounds good, I thought the title said 'john petrucci" though lol I was going to say I didn't think they had played together before haha

  • @OldTimesCruelty yeah I was gonna say, John Petrucci's Christian??????

  • yeah I know what you mean!

  • @DeathRattleShakes PEtrucci o patitucci?

  • Simply amazing. A musical combination I never thought I'd ever see. Definitely a keeper.

  • This is incredible!!!

  • Can I buy this on a DVD or something. I need to own this. It makes me feel better for some strange reason.

  • the mystery of music!!******

  • Just google Free YoutUBE mp3 player. It's awesome! It takes the audio from youtube videos. Pretty cool.

  • UN incroyable trio

    very good musicians...

  • at first glance i thought john PETRUCCI and phil keagy...NO WAYY!!...but its john PATITUCCI...

  • @drumnbass411

I did the same thing :)

  • @drumnbass411 Ditto...

  • @drumnbass411 Haha, I thought the same thing.

  • @drumnbass411 we all did hahahaha

  • @drumnbass411 0_0...I can't believe it...how is this guy I never heard of 32 comments over the GREAT john PATITUCCI...

  • Is JOhn patruchi a christain???

  • Yes, he is a Christian. He is in fact involved in worship ministry in his church at NY.

  • I saw him in concert in 86!! my 1st Christian Concert .....good ! ~J

  • John Patitucci played on a couple tracks from Phil's album "Getting Closer" in the mid 80's. I had wondered if they had every collaborated again since then. Good to see them playing togther now - they are amazing.

  • Funny how their names are so close to John Petrucci and Nick Mason.

  • My thoughts exactly! K

  • that is crazy. i was just thinking the same thing.

  • Amazing.

This guys are mature players, don't expect crazy overplay all over. A shame their only do christian music.

  • Just because you never heard of them doesn't mean they only do Christian music. Try Jazz. Ever hear of it? Patitucci is a respected Jazz fusion bassist who has recorded with just about everyone.

Nick Manson is perhaps less well known but still has gigged with an impressive array of musicians

and pf course Keaggy is perhaps the only one of the lot that mostly does 'Christian music.'

  • I am a fan, and know what Jamflu means. He is not in my opinion one to not overplay. I think he often does just a little too much. But I respect that when he does do too much noodling, he is also good enough to hang on to it.

  • I thought the guitar player from dream theater"

and the drumer for pink floyd was on this...

  • I guess you have to be able to read to browse youtube correctly

  • Phil is a great musician if he would just play. He has got this hang up about not wanting to be a "performer" so all of his music comes out weird. I went to one his concerts years ago here in Minneapolis and he just was weird.. too bad. I have two MP3s called Blues and I'm So Happy, I think that is the name and they are very good.

  • He is very much a musician, which is why he doesn't overplay :)

  • Something I would keep in mind when seeing Phil is the fact that when he appears in concert, he is more times than not, alone and playing acoustic. He is doing all the lifting so to speak. I have seen him too many times to count through the years and while I have enjoyed each and every one of them, some concerts have not been as well as others. That is to be expected in my view. Especially with traveling sometimes directly to a show. It is difficult for a virtuoso to nail it every time.

  • phill keggy has got to be one of the best guitarist in the world ever! he is so diverse its crazy! i challenge anyone that wants to put down christian music for whatever reason to check out phill and rethink.

  • Great feeling, three musician, one spirit.

  • Classic. Thank you for posting this.

  • music made from the heart of God

  • What the hell is wrong with Keaggy's pick hand?

  • He is missing his middle finger...childhood accident with a well.

  • Ouch!

  • Water pump I thought.

  • Yes, antique hand-levered water pump attached to a well. I remember seeing a video showing the exact location of the accident.

  • Beagleguitar asked:

BG> What the hell is wrong with Keaggy's pick hand?

Amputation left him without a finger. Like Django, he uses what he has better than most who have all of their digits.

    PhiberO

  • 3:58 to 4:05 is just amazing

  • My Eyes Have Seen Them Gods!!!

  • Anyone know where this performance took place?

  • Yes, its in the description, it was at my church the Chapel at Crosspoint in Buffalo New York.

  • You ever read the upper right corner?

  • Phil Keaggy is so underated as a guitarist. Definitely one of the best in the world! His feel and technique are unmatched!!

  • @satchwayne I totally agree, he is incredible and very highly skilled. just comes natural to him

  • I was not at this performance.I am blown away by these guys!

Is there a video I can buy?

I have 10 friends ready to buy already!

  • totaly... play with feeling....

  • Good Stuff!!!

  • I have watched a lot of videos on YouTube. This is still my fave. Heck, I've probably watched it at least 100 times. This is a great example of what live music is about. I really dig the laugh of Phil towards John as the song is ending. Too cool.

  • Keaggy and his Les Paul! This is the first I've heard him dabble with his angelic volume control swells since the 70's -wish he'd do a lot more of it, no one is master of the swells like Phil!! All around genius playing as usual!

  • Nick is such a cool cat, it's been great seeing him play around Phoenix

  • This has touched me in ways music has never done before... its amazing. I never knew it could be like this!

  • It is always a joy to see Phil playing electric. As good as he is on acoustic, he shines on electric. And seeing him with his old Les Paul this had to be a special occasion. Phil is an amazing player but even more incredible is that he happens to be the most humble person I have ever met.

  • What a terrific tribute to Roby Duke. These guys truly played from the heart for this one.

  • You'd think these guys toured together all summer! 3 master musicians having a musical conversation! Thanks for posting this one.

  • wow.. so nice to see John Patitucci here! AMEN!!!

  • Yay uncle Nick! Love you, Adrienne and family

  • What a treat!

Thank you for recording and posting this!

  • I had no idea John Patitucci was a Christian. I was almost half-wondering, though, how that I think about it. He seems to be a very spiritual and joyful guy.

  • Nick and Roby were as close as they come. Nick is a truly amazing player. I first saw him play in about 1990 around Seattle with Jon Goforth and the Jazz Terrorists. He first impessed me by what he didn't play. The contrast between sparse comping to presenting astounding chops puts him in a very elite league indeed. Thank you for this!

  • Fantastique!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Really great interplay between great musicians.

I am a huge Keaggy fan and I think I have to add two additional musicians to my "I would like to see collaborate with Phil" list. Phil is truly a well rounded guitarist without a drop off in changing from musical style and guitar be it acoustic or electric. This separates him in my view from so many others whose playing is forced or seems out of their element when playing something not in their comfort zone so to speak. Truly excellent.

  • Grat jam session! ...Phil Keaggy is still my favorite guitar player
