  • i find your lack of memory space disturbing....

  • Huh... was it just me or did I hear a tune for a "spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down"?

  • гинеально

  • The floppy sounds better just because it has one doing each part. This is cool shit too though.

  • Long live the Bad Sectors !!! :))

  • Hm.. I think you may have some problems with repairing this drive ;).

  • That's where they stored the death star plans!

  • I find your lack of disk space distrubing...

  • 49 padawans were not happy about this ;)

  • how many witty jokes can we make about this??

  • Hum... sounds like a hard-drive speaker playing the famous "Star Wars Floppy Disk" video.

The sound produced can't be from any motors the only motor present in a HDD is the one from the disk, not the mechanical arm. AND it sounds exactly the same as the video.

So no, no magic. And not seriously that impressing too.

  • @LunaVorax U Idiot Its Real Look Up How To Make Hard Drive Speakers

  • @wwallender I know hos to make hard drive speakers :) They just work like regular speakers and don't make cluncky sounds. They just played the sound of the Star Wars Floppy Disk via the speaker ;)

  • this is the geekiest thing you can do...

  • these aren't the files you are looking for....

  • Hmm... Must be installing Vista.

  • lmao fucking win!

  • how do you do this?

  • @vTheDarknessv

He played the floppy version of the theme and is feeding speaker power to the voicecoils of the hard drive's read/write arm actuator assembly.

  • @Watcher3223 ah, okay

  • Must be a Mac hard drive.

  • must been installing windows

  • F**king awesome. A good argument for re-using old Hard ware, I have swathes of this stuff at work. (Working in PC repair) I gotta give this Stuff a try!

  • How come it sounds just like (video id) X4SCSGRVAQE and have even the same sound artiffacts?

  • you must work for Western Digital, that's the tune their HDDs play before they blow up

  • This isn't the drive I'm looking for.

  • Sooo.... shinnneyyy... O.O

  • This must be a Hitachi drive.

  • Talk about the "Click Of Death"

    -star...

  • How can there be 43 dislikes? You opened a video called "Hard-disk-drive playing the Imperial March" and that's exactly what you got.

  • @ender283: It's not so much playing the music as the voice coil has been hacked onto a speaker from an amp and the heads are acting as a low quality speaker. If you'll notice, all of the other hacks of gadgets are actual programs taking advantage of the machines unaltered self generated sounds. That variety of hack requires programming and skill.

  • can you make a tutorial

  • 41 people are RD2D

  • lol

  • May the Floppy be with you

  • Holy cow, the force is strong with you!

  • erinnert mich an die c64 datasette.

  • Wie eine Festplatte funktioniert? Fragt Darth Vader!

  • imba :D

  • ALL HAIL LORD VADER!

  • This is no the Hard Drive we are looking for.

  • Now i know what to do with my old HDDs

  • i hope that isn't his mechanical penis?

  • Contains instructions for how to build an army of stormtroopers.

  • LOL now can u still use that Hard Drive for it's intended purpose, that would be great advertising

  • John Williams is a genius composer. You have the evidence on disk.

  • @TheLifelessPlanet alright my man! I always wanted one of those!

  • smart laugh at the end

  • Whoohoo we finally proved that George Lucas does control all things electronic lol

  • that made my floppy disk go all hard drive ;)

  • @4iamPJ

    lol that made my day

  • AWESOME!!!!!

    IT IS REAL?

  • As NERD as it gets!

  • This taken from the Deathstars server.

  • Did you just plug the speaker out like into the actuator arm? Brilliant, lol

  • hmm... i wonder if its a Hitachi Deathstar XD

  • @silverhawkroman seagate...

  • @silverhawkroman Are Deskstars called that cause of the name or they break easily or both?

  • @Nicholasc99 Mostly because they used to break easily, but what i said is a pun to the actual Deskstar

  • @silverhawkroman lol I always thought its cause of the name too! XDlol

  • but how???

  • its older

  • on this hard disk are the plans of the death star and some private vids from vader <:

  • 34 rebels still use floppies to boot...

  • Sounds like crap, but that does not make this any less awesome.

  • @DanielChristy19 how did you KNOW

  • WUHAJAJAJAJAJAJJAJAJAJJAJ sooo coooool

  • very cool!!!

  • lol

  • lol very cool

  • how did you do this????

  • It's well-known that the Death Star plans were stored in R2-D2. What's less well-known is that it is on this very hard drive. Hence the March.

  • Let the heat flow through your HDD

  • you got the darth vader virus lol

  • @icantswimj That would be an awesome virus lol

  • HOW?

  • This is so full of nerdy win i can barely procces it=)

  • what the hell...fareal man

  • How.... What.... Why.... ITS FUCKING AWESOME.

  • THAT IS COOOOOL

  • listen to the high pitch sound in the 'original' video around 21 seconds and on this one at 18 seconds. same thing at 33 on the original and 30 on this one. they coincidentally have the same audio...possible fake.

  • on this disk are the plans of the deathstar ^^

  • Holy crap. If I got a trojan that made my PC do this, I would shit my pants with win.

  • @MANN188

I would too, seeing as thats not what they actualy DO.

  • Ha, thats funny! Nice vide:D

  • That's the same audio from the floppy drive one... Still neat tho

  • now get a few more and have a chorus of sorts

  • EPIC WIN!, you are my new god now! O_O

  • Those must be 31 rebel scum that thumbed this video down.

  • @whiternoise2 But it only takes one unoriginal asshole to get 40 thumbs up

  • @Aztecwarrior573 To be fair, this was 4 months ago when this sort of comment was all the rage. Get off my lawn.

  • @whiternoise2 loooooooooooooooooool

  • So simple. This is the harddrive speaker project with the audio simply being played from the pc but interpreted by the voice coils on the hdd.

Nice all the same tho =)

  • sick shit

  • is that good for the computer... lol

  • The thirty one people who didn't like this are morons. That was the coolest thing i have ever seen... ever....
